Do you think satan attacks us physically as he did Job?

God had to give Satan permission first.

"Then the Lord told Satan, “Very well then, he is under your control. Just preserve his life.”

Turn it around, If what happened to Job happened to you.

                            What would you do?

How you answer will tell you how likely you are to suffer as Job suffered.

For most of  us satan knows he doesn't need that level of effort.

It would seem to me what he does is tempt us to adopt lifestyles that are harmful to our health.

Lets say the person does their best to be healthy.  They don’t smoke, drink alcohol, take drugs or eat fast foods.  They exercise, and try to eat well.  They love God, meditate on His word and are pursuing His purpose for their life.

I think a righteous life is conducive to good health.

Which leads me back to my question.  Job led a righteous life, yet Satan was allowed to attack him physically.  Also, Jesus, when asked (regarding the man blind since birth) who sinned he or his parents said neither sinned.  Satan has no reason to attack people who are not living a righteous life.  So does he physically attack us?  Yet there is truth in your statement that he does tempt us to adopt unhealthy lifestyles.  If I shun doctors for my physical ailments I may be contributing to their continuation.

I haven't figured out the Job thing, yet.

"You are to hand  this man [sleeping with his father's wife] over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord (1 Corinthians 5:5)."

God only allows Satan a certain amount of freedom. But that freedom is limited. People on Worthy give Satan way too much power. There are as many threads on Worthy about Satan as there is God. I am sure Satan loves the attention.
