To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Chernobyl nuclear meltdown, on April 26, 2011, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev visited the Star of Wormwood Memorial dedicated to the "liquidators" (first responders) to the accident.

Is it merely a coincidence that the name of the memorial complex remembering those that died fighting the nuclear fires of Chernobyl is the exact same name of the fallen star called Wormwood referred to in the third trumpet prophecy of Revelation 8? There is a statue now standing on the site, an enormous angel blowing a trumpet!

Its just that God wants to serve the unbelieving world with wormwood coffee for breakfast.            Bible says its bitter they may need some sugar.

Fracking is making ever increasing underground aquifers along with surface fresh water sources bitter. While only an estimated 5% of fracking operations are currently leaking; it is estimated that as these operations age that 95% of all fracking operations will eventually leak into our fresh water resources, making these waters bitter and poisonous.

It is for sure, whoever put up the statue of the angel sounding a trumpet KNEW God was leaving a great hint! NOT a coincidence, but rather a coinciGOD.

Question: "What is the meaning of wormwood in Revelation?"

Answer: "Wormwood" is the name of a star in Revelation 8:10-11: “The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water—the name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter.” This is the third of the “trumpet judgments” described in Revelation. The seven trumpets are the judgments of the seventh seal (Revelation 8:1-5). The first trumpet causes hail and fire that destroy much of the plant life in the world (Revelation 8:7). The second trumpet brings about what seems to be a meteor, comet, or other heavenly body hitting the oceans and causing the death of one-third of the world’s sea life (Revelation 8:8-9). The third trumpet is similar to the second, except it affects the world’s lakes and rivers instead of the oceans (Revelation 8:10-11). It will cause a third part of all fresh water on earth to turn bitter and many people will die from drinking it.

The word “wormwood” is mentioned only here in the New Testament, but it appears eight times in the Old Testament, each time associated with bitterness, poison and death. The Revelation passage may not be saying that the star falling to the earth will actually be called Wormwood by the inhabitants of the earth. Rather, wormwood was a well-known bitter herb in the Bible times, so by naming the star Wormwood, we are told that its effect will be to embitter the waters of the earth, so much so that the water is undrinkable. It won’t be a matter of simply a bitter taste to the water; it will literally be poisonous. If drinking water is unavailable to one third of the earth’s population, it’s easy to see how chaos and terror will result. Humans can only survive a couple of days without water, and the inhabitants of the affected areas will be so desperate as to actually drink the poisoned water, causing the death of thousands, if not millions of people.

This is a prophecy that is yet to come in the last seven years of this age, also known as the 70th week of Daniel. This is only one of the natural disasters in the seven trumpets that will usher in the rise of the Antichrist to world power very quickly (see Revelation, chapter 13). Since one-third of the earth is destroyed by these trumpet judgments, this is only a partial judgment from God. His full wrath is yet to be unleashed.

We can separate oil and water with filter, but not the wormwood coffee.

It could be that God send a comet with a very long tails which will fall into the atmosphere and contaminate rivers, wikipedia says some comet's tail can reach million miles long.

It could be that God sends a comet, except that Revelation 9:20 attributes the plagues in chapters 8 & 9 to the love mankind has for the things his hands make. 

Today the vast majority of things that man makes are through industry burning fossil fuels. This means the star wormwood who falls to earth burning as a lamp is a fallen angel who provides mankind the illumination in how to access natural gas deposits from shale.

I know you have read the book of Enoch, as have I. In the book of Enoch, angels are also referred to as Watchers. These Watchers/Stars/Angels are either spiritually inclined with God, or they are materially inclined and earthly minded. The angels who are earthly minded teach mankind, charms and enchantments, and acquaint mankind with plants (Enoch VII: 1). The result is giants of industry (VII:2), who consume all that mankind has (VII:3), at which point when earth's powerful can no longer be sustained by mankind, the giants then turn on mankind and devour them, enacting genocide (VII:4 & Revelation 9:15-19). 

Mankind begins sinning against birds and beasts and reptiles and fish (VII:5), which is genetic modification in widespread use today, and increasing. The earth then lays accusation against the lawless ones (VII:6), which is earth's environmental destruction, which also appears in Revelation 11:18.

VIII: 1 Azazel teaches/illumines mankind on metallurgy for warfare, and for jewelry and cosmetology.

VIII:3 Semjaza teaches mankind the sin of root cuttings (Genetic modification of plants).
