OSAS is a twist on Calvinism.  It is relatively new.

What I posted happens to be the word of God.
If the shoe doesn't fit, don't put it on.
When I cannot convince someone with my understanding,
I use scripture, when appropriate.
Then, sometimes I need to 'just give it a rest'..........default_cool2.gif.273a96c9c8ab966d8c273ddca7f31c63.gif
Were in this together, Firm, the same team.

Yes, and I can post scripture that proves you wrong that you won't accept.  That is because both sides have their own interpretation of said scriptures.  That is why the different denominations disagree.

"For lack of wood the fire goes out, And where there is no whisperer, contention quiets down."
Proverbs 26:20

I posted scripture, Firm. You for some reason cannot accept.
Nor can you understand the simple thought behind it.
You stated you would like to see the bickering back and forth to cease.
I agreed and posted God's thought's on that subject, above.
I'll at least agree to not force this dialog on the rest of Worthy.
I'm gonna give it a rest now.
And where there is no whisperer, contention quiets down.

I am discussing the false notion that most Christians believe in OSAS.  I  can give one reference that proves OSAS is false. I  Cor. 6:9-11.  Also 1 John 3.

Amen, and all the accusations and unkind words could become “a stumblingblock to them that are weak.”

We could respectfully discuss this in a single thread.

You are not living in reality.  If you look at the reformers and look at the denominations and the people responsible for them, none held to OSAS as you teach, including Calvin.  You may be describing your experience, but mine is the exact opposite.  I haven't seen all the old commentaries, but I know the Matthew Henry Commentary doesn't teach OSAS.

This is getting a bit personal. Please refrain from comments like this going forward in this thread.

Thanks! :)

Give a check on Romans 11:29 with some Bible commentaries, and not suggesting this out of opposition but just for the purpose of seeking truth.

Look up Hebrews 10 in the Matthew Henry commentary.

I didn't mean it as an insult, but ok.

I was going to send you Henry's commentary concerning the "irrevocable gifts of God" (Rom 11:29) but it is intimidatingly supportive of OSAS, so I chose not to send it, but verses 22-32 can be viewed here: https://www.studylight.org/commentaries/mhn/romans-11.html

I would need specific verses, so we can share our opinions with one another (only in love, as I'm sure you agree) and we don't need to pursue this in this way if you prefer. Thanks.
