Guest
Luke chapter 22. Verse 32. '...When you have turned back, help the others'. I never noticed before. Jesus extended grace and trust to Peter even knowing he would let Him down and deny him. He forgave him before he did it. How different we can be, i am as guilty as anyone. When friends let us down, how often we harbour resentment and never forgive them? I never cease to be amazed at the love, mercy and guidance of our Lord. The lessons we can learn. How to love others by supreme forgiveness, by trust and respect. To turn bad news into good news. Instead of unforgiving nasty reactions, to take human frailty into consideration and turn it around. Thus totally thwarting the devil's intentions and breaking his schemes for disharmony up. Jesus does it every time, by one sentence he can and does change lives. If we choose to understand and do as he asks. Wow! Edited October 5, 2019 by Melinda12

Guest
But it is so very hard to keep in mind that even those who let you down and thoroughly annoy you are frail people just like yourself. That i must forgive them as i have been forgiven. I do not deserve forgiveness. Yet i get it. They do not deserve it but i must grant it therefore. As Jesus teaches. Jesus actually forgave Simon Peter BEFORE he denied Him! Could we ever aspire to that? I suppose my mother has forgiven me a lot, as a teenager i was unbearably stupid. So mothers do a lot of forgiving.
