my minister said something truly profound this morning in church, he said that most people think they are in the land of the living and go to the land of the dead, but he said it is the other way around for a believer  in that we are in the land of the dead and go to the land of the living, that is eternal life.  when u think about it it is very true.  we are dead due to sin but living due to christ and many in this world are already dead in their sins.  christ lives forever and so will we when we are raised from the dead

The first death is a death to holiness. A separation from God. Like Adam and Eve being cut off from God in order to live according to the flesh. Most people will never know what being alive in Christ is all about.

 

When the soul dies that is the second death.

Yes, Jesus Himself is the "resurrection, and the Life",   (Eternal Life),  If you have Jesus, then you have Eternal Life, because the One who IS Eternal Life, is living in you.

Eternal Life is not a period of time that begins after your heart stops beating.  Eternal Life is JESUS THE CHRIST, Himself.

Do you have Him?  Are you born again?  Then you HAVE Eternal Life living within you, right now.

So, with Jesus as both The Resurrection and Eternal Life, living in you, and you are "bone of Jesus bone, and flesh of Jesus flesh", and "as Jesus is in this world so are we".........then we have a sure expectation of going to Heaven.

Nothing can stop us now.

As a matter of fact, we are already ""seated there", "in Christ".

Why will the born again dead in Christ not stay in their Grave?   Because the one who has the power over death, hell, and the Grave, couldn't  be kept in a Grave, and He is IN YOU.

Not only did the Stone roll away from Jesus's tomb, but your grave, if you end up there before you meet Christ in the Air,  has no power to keep your body in it.

Paul was not kidding when He said...>"absent from the body (dead), = present with the LORD".

Your body will come out of that grave, all right.  The Grave couldn't hold Jesus, so it can't hold YOU, as He is IN YOU and you are "in Christ".
