One ouf our members on here needs that. On a more subtle note: if you have a wife AND money, it is difficult to not let either rule you. There is a difference. The love of money causes greed and all kinds of bad things. 1

Ye cannot serve God and mammon. KJV It can be understood in an event where no food existed but one slice of bread and the owner of that slice would not exchange it for all the mammon of the world... if this is true in this instance then it is true in all instances yet due to the subtle nature of the unrighteous mammon this is not seen... Here is the attitude of The Lord toward mammon - He put the thief in charge of the purse... 1 John 2:15-17 15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. KJV I have seen many people exclaim they love The Lord yet their lives were all about money and possessions from their waking to their laying of the head to sleep...

Money is amoral on its own. Money can be used for good or bad deeds or both. Salvation has nothing to do with loving or hating money. TRUSTING JESUS is salvation!
