Did Jesus die on the cross?

Does Jesus' death pay for sins?

If Jesus' death pays for sins, why does Jesus' death pay for sins?

If Jesus' death pays for sins, does Jesus' death pay for everyone's sins?

Yes, Jesus physical body died on the cross.

Yes, and His shed blood covers us, as if it washes away or sins.

His blood covers our sins if we accept His salvation through His death, resurrection and that He is the only begotten Son of God the Father.

Yes, but unfortunately, not everyone will accept His death as payment for their sins, for one reason or another.

Yes

Yes

Without the shedding Of Blood, there can be no remission of sin. Death is the price for sin.Blood symbolizes that death.Only the Blood Of a Perfect One could Pay the cost for all of the sins of Mankind.Jesus was that Perfect One.He  was God, and out of Love , God Did what Only He could do.

Yes.....Jesus paid the price for every sin that was ever committed or will ever “be” committed.Unbelief is what stands in the way of all of those who are unwilling to “cash in” on what has already been done for them. The Lost will have all Eternity to “ gnash their teeth”. They are where they are because they rejected a Free Gift.

Yes Jesus died on the cross..

Quote

Does Jesus' death pay for sins?

Yes Jesus death made atonement for sins.. meaning it paid the penalty for sins..

Quote

If Jesus' death pays for sins, why does Jesus' death pay for sins?

Because the penalty for sin is death. Not just the physical death of our current flesh bodies but the second death which is eternal exile from Gods perfect eternal existence.. Nothing imperfect can be allowed to enter into Gods perfect eternal existence and God cannot transform a person into a perfected person unjustly.. God is perfect in justice and therefore He cannot turn a blind eye to sin.. But God has made a Way for sins to be justly forgiven thereby allowing Him to transform sinning humans on the day of Judgement into perfect eternal beings worthy to enter His perfect existence without causing it to become imperfect.

Quote

If Jesus' death pays for sins, does Jesus' death pay for everyone's sins?

The Atonement of Jesus only pays for the sins of those who believe His teachings and who trust that His death on the cross makes Atonement for all their sins..

Believing Jesus and Trusting Jesus is the Way to salvation from the second death..

Question 1: Yes.

Question 2: Yes.

Question 3: My understanding is that Jesus never sinned, so when Satan had him killed, he lost all credibility.

Question 4: Yes.

1. He did die, though one must not forget that he resurrected.

2. It does.

3. As others have said, the penalty of sin is death. Before the new covenant, the blood of animals would be offered upon the altar for a remission of sins. "For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes an atonement for the soul". These animal sacrifices were temporary, however. Jesus is often called the Lamb (the sacrifice), specifically one without blemish (without sin). With his crucifixion, his blood was offered upon the altar as an eternal atonement, for all who believe in and trust in him.

4. In a way, yes and no. There are those who do not believe, and so lacking the blood, receive the penalty. It's a free gift, one which a number of people refuse or neglect.

1. Yes!

2. Yes!

3. Because Jesus was GOD and INNOCENT, subbing in our place.

4. Yes! Now it is up to individuals to respond in trust or perish in Hell.

Good questions!

I'm dealing with maybe poor reading comprehension and maybe schizophrenia and maybe something else. I've read the Bible and might have used GotQuestions.org for one or maybe more of these questions but I guess I still have problems.
