The leader of this kingdom is empowered by the dragon after resurrection from a deadly head wound, as in Rev 13. This leader must also be the 8th and of the previous 7 as in Rev 17. Baghdadi has been described in an article in New Republic in just this way by his now deceased top cleric, Turk Bin Ali. Now Baghdadi has suffered death and a beheading. Since the USA is claiming responsibility for killing him, what will ISIS do now? They have many cell groups worldwide. Will they now strike, bringing terror to the USA? I don't think he fits the bill for being the "guy". Not from my understanding of Daniel. I see that first, the Ram (Iran) charges out to the north, west and south. They are defeated by the Goat (Yavan, eastern region of Turkey) in a counter-attack. The little-horn comes up from this war, and from the region of eastern Turkey.
