If you rob a bank, you will spend many years in prison. Therefore, the Lord commanded us not to steal. That has always been true.

The commandments are not our enemy. They are our guide.

The Lord God is a God of Grace from beginning to end. It started with His designing a universe for us.

Grace is in a sense, the Glory of God and Jesus Christ is the totality of that Grace.

One great example of His grace in the OT is Abraham. Abraham represents us in many ways. One of those is how the Lord was gracious in calling him out from Ur. Abraham deserved no special treatment. He was an idolator living among an idolatrous people.

Just as we were, when He intersected our lives and injected Himself into us.

It was for His purposes in Abraham and for the same purpose for us.

In both cases---pure unmerited favor.

He is the God of Grace.

Old and New Testament.

2 Covenants.

The first shows us our need of the Cross.

The 2nd Shows us God's Grace that has redeemed us from the "curse of the Law".

Old Testament..." The law came by Moses"

New Testament ..."Grace and TRUTH came by Jesus THE Christ

Why was a "New Testament" given ?      "" For if the Old Testament had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the New Testament.""

What this is explaining is that the first Testament, the "old covenant", the LAW, the TORAH,  was not perfect to make us Righteous.  The Law is perfect, but we as sinful flesh are not able to keep it perfectly, so, we are judged by it.  And until we are REDEEMED from it, by Jesus's Blood, thru "justification by faith" then the Law judges us as sinners.

"you'll die in your sin" if you reject me... Jesus said,..... because unless we are redeemed from it, we will be judged FOR IT< for all Eternity.

What is the New Testament"?   """Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood JESUS entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. """"

Notice it says..."JESUS....= having obtained ETERNAL REDEMPTION for us"".... So, do you understand the definition of the word "eternal"?   This means never ending.. Forever.... He did and we get it.... And that is our position as Redeemed Born Again Christians.  We are ETERNALLY REDEEMED because the Cross is an Eternal Solution, that is applied to us, as SALVATION..... and there is no undoing something that is ETERNAL....... Not ever.

This means God Himself solved our issue with the Law, by Jesus meeting all the requirements of the Law so that we could be freed from the Judgment of it that is due us.   Christ rejectors will meet this judgment when they hit the Great White Throne in Rev 20:11.   Their names have been removed from the Lamb's book of life, because all Names of Christ Rejectors are removed.

Jesus was judged on the Cross for ALL our sin, and this removed the Law's ability to Judge US anymore.   SO,  we will not face eternal judgment in Eternity, because Jesus has faced it for us already on EARTH and DIED in our Place.

This is Salvation.

"for you are not under the law (anymore) it cant judge you any more). You are UNDER GRACE"... Grace is now our "law", Its the law of being freed from the judgment of the Law (old Covenant). (Old Testament).

In the Old Testament it spoke of Jesus coming, to redeem us.

In the New Testament, it literally happened.

Thank you JESUS !

Read the OT, every time you come across God speaking to a prophet etc or a prophet addressing the people that is an example of Gods grace in action.

God did not have to do anything, that he did shows something of the extent of his love, grace and mercy.

You want examples. God calling to Adam after he had eaten the forbidden fruit.

God speacking with Adam driving home his guilt and still showing him mercy.

God speaking to Cain after he had rejected his offering of fruit+veg.

God speaking to Noah and his constant provission for Noah.

Carry on.

In the OT, Israelites receive the grace of living by the precepts of His law.

In the NT, those who believe in Christ live under the grace which able them to fulfill the purport of the law.

What law?

God doled out in the law (of faith) two covenants. Grace was promised in covenant to Abraham long before the Sinai covenant. The Sinai covenant could not abolish the covenants made with Abraham (mercy).

Ga 3:17  And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.

Even before Abraham, Noah was an heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

Heb 11:7  By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

Since Moses law (of works) could not abolish God's promises to Abraham, The increase of sin which was by the law, simply increased the grace and mercy unto the heirs of the Abrahamic covenant, in circumcision from the fathers.

Joh 7:22  Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers;) and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a man.

A sign and seal of the faith Abraham had before he was circumcised
Rom 4:11

Ro 3:27  Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
