Loved it! I haven't been walking in snow since well 40 years ago(?). I could be home in the subtropics with mid 80's temperatures, but am checking out the furnace and fireplace system here and how to winterize this place. It will go down to 12 degrees before sunrise tomorrow. It is right at freezing now. Boy this is fun! If we don't get iced in we will be on the road south come Thursday. This is really a kick, so glad we have been led to give it a try, and to have made friends already both at church and here with the very few up here this time of year. Again there are just 25 full timers anywhere up here. I did spend some time with the guard at the gate during my walk. He is a classic car enthusiast so we had a natural common interest. He does really good work on cars and has already pointed out two 65 chevy C10 stepside PU's for sale within a mile of here, one a long bed. We all had better start petitioning government to have soot spread everywhere to absorb heat and warm up the atmosphere or we are all going to freeze to death in the dark.
