There is more to the gospel that the message of forgiveness and sanctification. Paul preached about the mystery of the gospel There are 7 components to the mystery of the gospel (3 are found in Ephesians, 1 in Colossians) The mysteries of His will Ephesians 1:9-10 The fellowship of the mystery Ephesians 3:11 The great mystery Ephesians 5:32 The glorious mystery Colossians 1:27 The mystery of godliness 1 Timothy 3:16 The mystery of the resurrection 1 Corinthians 15:52 The mystery of Israel Romans 11:25-26 What was in the heart of God in eternity even before He created the earth and put man in it? God inhabits eternity. What was it that was kept secret in the heart of God before the foundation of the earth? It will take the spirit of revelation touching our hearts to understand the eternal plan of God. It was by revelation that Paul received insight into what was dear to the heart of God. Unfolding the mystery of His will The mystery of the gospel in a nutshell: Before God created the earth and before He created man, God already had a plan beforehand. He had a blue print of what He wanted. He knew about the fall of man, He knew about Revelation 22 and He had a plan about bringing His eternal plan to pass. In eternity it was determined in the eternal counsel of the Godhead that the Father would have a remnant from the human race who would enter into adult sonship. Adult sons that would attain to the statute of the fullness of Christ (the mystery of His will). That the Son would have an eternal companion, a bride who is equally yoked with Him in love. A bride whom He can fully possessed. It is unthinkable that Jesus will have anything less but a bride who has made herself ready for the wedding (the great mystery). Christ in you the hope of glory (the glorious mystery). Together she will rule and reign with Him here on the earth to bring heaven to earth until heaven and earth is joined together as ONE. The Fathers throne is coming down to earth. The tabernacle of God will be with man here on earth. The Father wants adult sons and the Son wants a bride prepared in beauty, without spot or blemish. Romans 8, creation groans in earnest expectation for the manifestation of the adult Sons of God. This is the eternal blueprint. The Father is totally committed to bringing forth a bride who will share the throne with His Son. Daniel 7:2 I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven were stirring on the great sea. God stirs up and control history to bring forth a bride in mature love for His Son. God does not have a plan B. Romans 8:19 creations is eagerly waiting for the manifestation of the adult sons of God. Why Paul preached about the mystery of the gospel. Paul preached about the mystery of the gospel because when our hearts get connected with this reality, it will motivate us to live a life of holiness and to walk worthy of our calling. It will give you a new focus Every man that has this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure. (1 John 3:3) It will take you to a new level on how you look at afflictions. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory (2 Corinthians 4:17). Christians that live for just today: they are disconnected with eternity. Paul preached an eschatological gospel. Repent why? A bridegroom king is coming. You must prepare now to be ready for the wedding. Jesus is a bridegroom king. He has called us to a marriage relationship with him, not to a betrothal. The church is betrothed to Jesus but the marriage has not been yet consummated. There will be those in the church that will be without any wedding garments and so miss out of the wedding celebration. He has sent the matchmaker from heaven, the Holy Spirit to bring us into that union with him but the Holy Spirit needs our co-operation. Not all believers will be presented as a chaste virgin to Christ. Revelation 19:7, only those who have been prepared in beauty and in love will be made ready the wedding. Blessed are they which are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb We are called to be a prophetic people. The church needs to embrace the apostolic gospel that Paul preached. And the writer seeing it was a absolute necessity for the heart to do so if it would have all of God. Loved the hunger after God manifested. Oh to have a heart as such!
