I have thought that Paul addressed whether someone after being saved, than choosing to live in sin, continues to be saved. With the words; “that his spirit might be saved” He has lost all his rewards but he himself his spirit remains saved and will one day inherit eternal life. We see farther that in fact this person did repent and return to being obedient to God as Paul says to forgive and receive back such a one. For me this answers the question whether one remains saved after being born again than choosing to return to sin. By my own experience(s) have taught me and have done many times in the passed, I reaped the consequence of my sin. And Paul said he delivered the one over to satan for the destruction of the flesh. I did learn through my failings and the bad things that did happen to not to choose to sin any longer. But praise God, I, as the believer Paul was addressing both learned. Oh to the endless grace and mercy of God! Praise be to our Teacher and lover of our souls.
