JOHN 18:36 MY KINGDOM IS NOT OF THIS WORLD

John 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

In saying his kingdom was not of this world, Jesus was in no way saying that his coming kingdom would not be in the earth (Jeremiah 23:5).

John 6:15 When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone.

Jesus was refuting the expectation that he would assume control of the existing government of this world. It was not yet the time of fulfillment for Jesus to sit on the throne of David as king (Mark 1:15 Zechariah 14:9); Jesus had yet to fulfill scripture and suffer death and be raised again (John 18:32 John 19:28).

Psalm 45:6 Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

9:7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Isaiah 2:2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.

2:3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

2:4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

Jesus was not saying that his kingdom was only a spiritual kingdom and not an earthly kingdom, as substantiated by the scriptures above.

Goes back to Adam and Eve. This was all given to us. We then as Satan said given/handed to him where he could give it to who ever he wants. Satan as God said is the god of this world.
