The Vatican is constantly white washing and sanitizing the bizarre statements this Pope is spewing. Certain things can not be denied, even from his most ardent supporters.

1. He is uniting the worlds religions into one. Under the umbrella of his perceived one true church.

There is zero question of falsehood. The question is how complicit he is with that falsehood.

In other words--is he truly deluded or is he taking an active knowing part in the falsehood.

It is yet possible, that these current events are not significant. Time will tell.

Anything is possible with the Lord. However; all the prophecy predicted for the terminal generation is here right now or shaping up, it's readily apparent and identifiable. Everything from an increase in global disasters, to how society will become during the end times; to the players, treaties, defense alliances and location of the future Gog - Magog war building up. Damascus, Syria is close to becoming no more, over night. Elam, the Southwest 1/6th portion of Iran [where their Bushehr nuclear facilities and weapons are located] is currently of Global concern, and will be destroyed and people will flee from the radiation [Jeremiah 49: 34-39].

A one world political and religious system is just around the corner. We readily see this controlling political system in the form of the United nations and / or the Islamic world. The one world religion is shaping up with the Vatican ecumenical movement as I've previously described. The Pope has signed agreements with various Muslim's. There's nothing new under the sun; what has been will be. 

With the above and given the descriptions in Revelation 17: & 18:, I personally have little doubt at this point in history, what and whom this one world religion will be [Catholic means universal]. Some recent scholars make excellent arguments this one world religion will be Islam. But there argument doesn't align with a religion of vast wealth, the symbolism associated with it, and the colors scarlet and purple associated with it. We'll see before too long.

That's a good question. I've wondered about that and the 'Man of Sin', if they already know whom they are? I couldn't even guess on that one.

We do know God directs the affairs of men and nations according to His will and purpose. Throughout history, Satan had to have a man ready in the wings, because he doesn't have a clue either when these things will come about. 

I'm not implying or even speculating anything here, just wondering to myself. Given former President Obama's popularity even at present. His rise from obscurity from nowhere, his secret background and controversy over his birth certificate; his school records he had locked down still a mystery, his brother and his Islamic actions, his lack of not many knowing him in the past and coming forward, his close associations to radicals, etc. It makes me wonder if he has an end-time role to fulfill yet???

This just caught my attention. I'm not quite 'buffed-up' on prophesy as of late, but was taught by a gentlemen from England, who had a doctorate in divinity. (Oxford) He felt the Antichrist and the Beast to be one person, and the False Prophet as his spokesman. Dr. Albert Grimes was also a dispensationalist. I've pretty much kept that as my primary doctrine, as my close friends and congregants also have.

Hi there Sonshine. There is a distinction between the beast and the false prophet as your Scripture makes clear. Feel free to differ but personally I follow the school of thought that Beast No. 1 from the sea, and Beast No. 2 as mentioned in Rev.13 are figurative illustrations which compliment the whole vision or revelation which John is given to record.

Beast No. 1 rises from the sea of sinful humanity, and this illustrates the rise of the "Natural Wickedness Of Mankind" over the ages to an epic, catastrophic proportion. (There is more symbolism to the illustration but for another post) From within this framework of natural wickeness Beast No.2 rises from the earth of evil vanity, and is a man whom Satan enthrones to rule over sinful humanity as the ultimate false prophet.

In the past I have had to succinctly dispell the notion one congregation leader held, namely that the false prophet is Satan himself. Obviously the following Scriptures show this cannot be, as the representative 1st beast and 2nd beast/false prophet/man of sin are both in the lake of fire prior to Satan joining them:

   Rev 20:7-10
(7)  And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
(8)  And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
(9)  And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
(10)  And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Hi Ya Sonshine,

I agree the Antichrist, the Beast, the Son of Perdition, the Man of Sin, and 29 other names for him are one and the same person. I read the verse above and elsewhere in Revelation as two separate and distinct individuals. Above, "These both"  I believe means two different individuals. But, as usual I could be wrong
