Mary’s Boy Child.

Long time ago in Bethlehem
So the Holy Bible say
Mary’s Boy Child, Jesus Christ
Was born on Christmas Day!

While shepherds watched their flocks by night
They saw a bright new shining star
And heard a choir from heaven sing
The music came from afar

Hark! Now hear the angels sing:
“New King’s born today
And man will live for evermore
Because of Christmas Day!”

Now Joseph and his wife Mary
Came to Bethlehem that night.
They found no place to bear her Child,
Not a single room was in sight.

Hark! Now hear the angels sing:
“New King’s born today
And man will live for evermore
Because of Christmas Day!”

By and by they found a little nook
In a stable all forlorn.
And in a manger cold and dark
Mary’s little Boy/Child was born

Trumpets sound and angels sing,
Listen to what they say!
That man will live forevermore
Because of Christmas Day!

The Other night I went to see my Kids Christmas music show at the school, The Whole band at the end played "O Holy Night", Music Only, and I was singing the song in my head, The presence of the LORD showed up there, and I was moved to tears. It was as if I was there with the Angels singing 2000 years ago announcing the arrival of Jesus, the tears were tears of Joy that I had never felt before, Not like this, as if I was there 2000 years ago rejoicing at His coming. Here are the Lyrics, I will highlight the lyrics where, and when in the song I saw this, This was for me, Quite miraculous. All I Knew from memory was the first verse so that is what I was singing over again as this happened.

  1. Oh, holy night, the stars are brightly shining;
It is the night of the dear Savior’s birth!
Long lay the world in sin and error pining,
Till He appeared and the soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope, the weary soul rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
Fall on your knees, oh, hear the angel voices!
Oh, night divine, oh, night when Christ was born!
Oh, night divine, oh, night, oh, night divine!
  2. Led by the light of faith serenely beaming,
With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand.
So led by light of a star sweetly gleaming,
Here came the wise men from Orient land.
The King of kings lay thus in lowly manger,
In all our trials born to be our Friend!
He knows our need—to our weakness is no stranger.
Behold your King; before Him lowly bend!
Behold your King; before Him lowly bend!
  3. Truly He taught us to love one another;
His law is love and His Gospel is peace.
Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother,
And in His Name all oppression shall cease.
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,
Let all within us praise His holy Name!
Christ is the Lord! Oh, praise His name forever!
His pow’r and glory evermore proclaim!
His pow’r and glory evermore proclaim!

I Don't know How to explain it, but I was transported in the Spirit to the fields like the shepherds that Holy Night, Hearing the angel voices, and rejoicing with them.

I Pray this blesses any who read this.

Medley: No Room/Have You Any Room for Jesus? lyrics

No Room, only a manger of hay
No Room, He is a stranger today
No Room, He and His word turned away
No Room, No Room

Angles in heaven up yonder
While they watch in
such amazement and wonder
To see the Son of highest treates so

No Room here in the hears of mankind
No Room, there's no cheery welcome to find
No Room, surely the world is blind
No Room, No Room

Have you any room for Jesus?
He who bore your load of sin?
As he knocks and asks admission
Oh brother won't you let Him in?

Room for Jesus, King of Glory
Hasten now His Word obey
Swing your heart's door widely open
Bid Him enter while you may

Room for Jesus, King of Glory
Hasten now His Word obey
Swing your heart's door widely open
Bid Him enter while you may
Bid Him enter while you may

Come Thou long expected Jesus, born to set Thy people free! From our fears and sins release us, let us find our rest in Thee. Israel's strength and consolation, Hope of all the earth Thou art! Dear desire of every nation. Joy of every longing heart!

Come Thou long expected Jesus, another advent hymn, but I tend to roll Advent, Christmas, and Epiphany music all together.

@EllaGrace Thanks. Great choice. I decided to post all the lyrics, as this song has such rich content. Btw, have a blessed Christmas. :)

"Come Thou Long Expected Jesus"

Come, thou long expected Jesus
Born to set thy people free
From our fears and sins release us
Let us find our rest in thee
Israel's strength and consolation
Hope of all the earth thou art
Dear desire of every nation
Joy of every longing heart
Joy of every heart

Born thy people to deliver
Born a child and yet a King
Born to reign in us forever
Now thy gracious kingdom bring
By thine own eternal spirit
Rule in all our hearts alone
By thine all sufficient merit
Raise us to thy glorious throne

You draw the hearts of shepherds
You draw the hearts of kings
Even as a baby, You were changing everything
You called me to Your Kingdom
Before Your lips could speak
And even as a baby, You were reaching out for me
And now we are awaiting
The day of Your return
When every eye will see You
As heaven comes to earth
Until the sky is opened
Until the trumpet sounds
The bride is getting ready
The church is singing out

Come, thou long expected Jesus
Born to set thy people free
From our fears and sins release us
Let us find our rest in thee
Come, thou long expected King

Notes

Scripture References: st. 1=2 Cor. 4:14, Rev. 3:21 st. 3-4 =Isa. 61:1-2, Luke 4:18-19, Rom. 6:22 Charles Wesley wrote this Advent hymn and printed it in his Hymns for the Nativity of our Lord (1744). Like so many of Wesley's texts, "Come, Thou Long-Expected Jesus" alludes to one or more Scripture passages in virtually every phrase. The double nature of Advent is reflected in this text, in which we remember Christ's first coming even while praying for his return. Stanzas 1 and 2recall Advent prophecies in the Old Testament; stanza 3 speaks of Christ's birth and kingdom, and stanza 4 is a prayer for Christ's rule in our hearts. Liturgical Use: Advent; Christmas and Christmas carol/lesson worship services; worship that stresses the second coming. --Psalter Hymnal Handbook

One of my favorite parts of this time of year is the Christmas carols. They are similar to hymns in that they draw our focus to the Lord and praising Him.

Amen.

And Merry Christmas

I do enjoy Winter Song By Fernando Ortega, for it's message; the Holy Winter of the redeemer of the world. See the video at Christian videos

Lyrics to Winter Song  by Fernando Ortega

Thrushes stir in the trees and hide from the moonlight
High on the stony ridge all is still
The whole world is waiting, silent as the icy stars
A holy winter to cheer our darkened hearts

Jesus, our Lord and King, born in a stable
Wrapped in rags, asleep on a bed of straw
Though He is from heaven, still it is enough for Him
He who made the mountains and will come again to reign

(chorus)
Oh blessed night! Bright angels are singing
For Heaven's Light is lying in a manger bed
Sweet Mary, she kisses His head and sings a lullaby

O boundless mercy of God, beautiful mystery!
The braying donkeys sheep and birds of the air
And shepherds and sages all have come this night
To welcome Him, redeemer of the world

(chorus)
Oh blessed night! Bright angels are singing
For Heaven's Light is lying in a manger bed
Sweet Mary, she kisses His head and sings a lullaby

A stable lamp is lighted whose glow shall fill the sky. The stars shall bend their voices and every stone shall cry! And every stone shall cry! And straw like gold shall shine. A barn shall harbor heaven, a stall become a shrine!
