(out of the Father, the Son, or the Holy Spirit) Hi Lee, Interesting question. I would say confess to the Father and we know that Jesus His Son intercedes for us. (Heb. 7: 25) It is by the Holy Spirit that our prayers are made to the Father, however it is Jesus who intercedes. `Seeing then that we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.` (Heb. 4: 14 - 16) all the best, Marilyn.

God the father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

Sometimes, I even ask the Spirit to speak to me and show me where I've sinned so I can repent, but again I ask God to forgive me.

(out of the Father, the Son, or the Holy Spirit) Out of? You mean to either the Father, the Son, or the Holy Spirit? King David confessed to the preincarnate Jesus (Psalm 51:4 / John 8:58 ~ Exodus 3:13-15) I generally pray to the Father when I confess... we are to pray to God (which means to any one of or all three of the persons who are the one God). My opinion is... The Father is the ultimate authority. He gave his Son... his Son submitted to him... So ultimately, at least, I would say to the Father (to answer your question). Remember also, while Jesus did not say do not pray to him he did say: John 16:26–27 (AV) 26 At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you: 27 For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God. Never forget how much the Father loves the Son and how much the Father loves you for believing in his Son.

(out of the Father, the Son, or the Holy Spirit) Taken together as counsel, the Bible says men should confess to men and women to women. It helps often if struggling with a sin to confess to/work with someone who has overcome in that same area of sin. Â Does that help?
