Guest Laroka
Any suggestions on how to explain to my sons (6, 8, 10) why I can't allow Yu-Gi-Oh? Right now their exposure is through kids bringing the cards to school and playing during recess. I'm amazed at the details my 8 and 10 year old can rattle off to me about the game. When a friend offered my 8 yo a card to take home, he did decline and say, "I'm pretty sure my mom wouldn't want me to watch the show or have any cards." (based on not allowing them to have Pokemon cards) but he apparently thought the game would be okay. I'm amazed at how evil it is but am not sure how to communicate this to my sons. Greetings~ RE: Yu-Gi-Oh and the spirits of halloween. My 11 year old grandson Shane collects these cards. He knows that some people play a game with the cards yet he doesn't know how to play it. He shows no desire to learn how to play the game. He knows that they are worth something when it comes to money. So He chooses to purchase these cards. People collect all kinds of things and I can see nothing wrong in it. I think that some people just seem to think the worest about everything. These people can even spook themselves. Isn't there a verse in the Bible that G-D states that no one should touch something that is dead especially the blood of this animal. So all of you, that prepare red meats, had better be wearing plastic gloves! The only way these can become evil is if Man CHOOSES to use them in a evil way. Guest kfender_thornton
I agreee with 2007 but I also see the others points to . If you feel that your child shouldn't watch Yugioh then make them change it. But there is alot of other stuff that is out there worse than Yugioh. I told my grandson, Shane about this topic board. I told him of your referrals to the Bible. Would someone please explain how the spirits of halloween have anything to do with Yu-Gi-oh. Could it be because of the ugly, scarry monsters on the cards. I think it wise on my part to ask these questions.
