I recently came across some troubling statistics. At least these statistics would be troubling to sincere Christians.

According to the research that was done by Arizona Christian University, only 35% of people in the United States believe that Jesus is the only way to heaven. Additionally, 48% believe that salvation can be earned by being a good person.

As any true believer knows, this is not what the Bible teaches. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except by Me” -  John 14:6.

There is a very good reason why Jesus could say this. He is the prophesied Messiah, the only Redeemer of mankind that God has ordained to save humanity. Jesus is the fulfillment of a miraculous plan of redemption that God instigated in Eden and illustrated throughout the Old Testament to its fulfillment in the Messiah Jesus.

I believe that the only reason so many people are ignorant of this plan in the United States, is because the church has neglected to focus on teaching who Jesus is in the Old Testament as the Lord has directed (Luke 24:27). The fault lies at the foot of the American pulpit.

When I mentioned the need to teach who Jesus is from the Old Testament, the pastor I was talking to responded, “Oh, that’s just for the Jews.” He was parroting a blatantly ignorant response that I have heard from others like him.

If you are interested in knowing the truth, or if you are a Christian that wants to help share it, please go to this website, jesusmessiahbook.com and get the free eBook version of the book, “Why Jesus has to be the Messiah – Understanding the New Covenant and the Hebrew Roots of Christianity”. Please share it with as many people as you can and help to change those troubling statistics.

Many are called but few are chosen. Kind of indicates that most won't be saved. Sad, but not surprising.

The bible teacher David Pawson reckoned that 5% of real believers was enough salt to influence society.

Muslims treat every publication of the Quran as producing something holy. Burn or desecrate a Quran, they'll be after you.  You seem to indicate we should behave the same way to published bibles.

I'm kind of reminded of Jesus's disciples eating wheat on the Sabbath. If you've only got a Thompson's and you need to go - feel free. I you feel the need to desecrate, then the chances are you're lost anyway. But hey, you can still repent.

I love the OT and while I entirely agree that you cannot really understand the NT until you read the OT, I got saved because Jesus revealed himself to me - at a time when I didn't know what a church was, nor had I read the Bible. I didn't know any theology of sin, repentance or salvation - I just wanted to follow Jesus.

"Outside The Walls" statistics.......

45% of people who attend church regularly are NOT saved!

51% of Americans say the Bible was written for each person to interpret as he or she chooses.

52% of all “Christians” believe that non-Christian faiths can lead to eternal life.

More than half of all young people (ages 18-24) don’t believe the Bible is God’s inspired word.

55% of those attending church at least once a month have not had a 'born again' experience.

69% of churchgoers believe that everyone will go to Heaven.

Almost 50% of Christians think that most non-Christians have no interest in hearing about Jesus.

3 out of 4 Christians (74%) seldom have a “spiritual conversation” with anyone.

52% of all “Christians” believe that non-Christian faiths can lead to eternal life.

3 out of 4 Christians (74%) seldom have a “spiritual conversation” with anyone.

While 1 in 4 Americans are done with church, half of all Americans (48%) are done with God.
Known as post-Christian, they say that God plays no role whatsoever in their life.

75% of regular church attenders do not believe that sharing their faith is important.

78% of the unchurched would listen to someone who shared what they believed about Christianity.

Only 8% of regular church attenders believe that sharing their faith is “very important.”

ROTW Certified Statistics      (Revival outside the walls)

ROTW Certified Statistics represent the evidence-based consensus of three or more respected research studies, compiled over five years and thousands of hours of research on all church related studies, by Dr. Doug Petersen, Oxford Center for Mission Studies.

These statistics reveal the shocking status of Christianity in America today, and the biblical illiteracy of most of those who call themselves Christians. These statistics confirm the urgent need for Igniting Christians to Ignite America with Revival, by moving everyone, every day, closer to Jesus. Please share these statistics with every Bible believing Christian you know!

What We Believe

We believe that Christians who choose to not participate in the Great Commission are missing the fullness of God’s Joy. (John 15:11) The role of our Pastors is to equip us for ministry. (Eph 4:11) We are the ones who live in the world and are to let our light so shine before men that they will see God thru us and want what we have. (Matt 5:16)

The condition of the world is our responsibility. (Romans 10:14) Jesus said the Greatest Commandments are to Love God and to Love our Neighbors as Ourselves, making their eternal destination as important as our own (Matt 22:36)

Then He gave us his most lavish promise, after John 3:16, making everything in our lives (even the bad stuff) work together for good when we Love God and Love our Neighbors as Ourselves, fulfilling God’s purpose in our lives. (Romans 8:28)

It’s a team sport…and you’ll never experience the thrill of victory until you get off the bench (pew) and into the game!

I believe the stats are truthful based on a sampling of people on this website.  It would be interesting getting some kind of test here to know what percentage believes what.  Questions regarding a flat-earth, evolution, abortion, Nephilim, etc. would be very interesting.

Wow! Thanks for the information. This sure confirms we are in the prophesied last days apostasy, doesn't it?  Please be sure and get the Messiah book and share it. Again, I believe that if people had more background in who Jesus is, there would be less falling away. Thanks again and God bless.

Yeah, not terribly surprised myself, either. Christianity has almost become a tradition here in the West, so you have huge numbers of people who are Christians just because they perceive it to be normal rather than actually being Christians.

That disregard of the OT bothers me as well, as it adds so many new facets and dimensions to the NT that a reader wouldn't get or understand otherwise. How can anyone understand Jesus as the Lamb without knowing about the passover? How can anyone know what many of the run-ins with the Pharisees mean without being aware of the Law? There are so many OT references in the NT. You're basically reading the last few chapters of a book and calling it good, apparently dedicating your faith and life to a book you can't even be bothered to try and read completely.

This reminds me of a story I once read where an unbelieving teenage boy had been at a friend's house. The ground floor bathroom was being used, so he had to rush to the basement bathroom. He did his business but then saw that there was no toilet paper. He looked around for something else and the only thing there was an old Bible. "Ah well," he thought, "Nobody reads the Old Testament anyway". So he started tearing out the pages of the OT to wipe himself with, but that's not the right kind of paper for that. He ended up scratching and cutting it up so that it bled. He tried to flush, but it didn't go down, causing the toilet to overflow. It was the mom's Bible that she had recieved as a young girl from her grandma and because his mom was crying, the teenage boy's friend (the mom's son) punched him and they weren't friends anymore after that.

Suppose that's a bit of justice for defacing a Bible, eh? Still, it stands pretty poorly when even unbelievers are aware of the phenomenon, that the OT isn't read or given as great of an importance.

Right on. Please help distribute the free eBook I mentioned and help to educate people about the importance of the Old Testament, jesusmessiahbook.com

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
