I really enjoy the music of:

The laughter of loved ones.

Kitties purring

Bumble Bees buzzing around flowers.

Waterfalls

Thunder

Birdsong

Rain on the rooftop

A crackling fire on a cold winter's day.

The Ocean

Those kind of sounds... :24:

The humming of a person with a contented heart . :24:

I listen to pretty much everything...although, my own personal weakness would have to be anything acoustic-rock based, e.g. Dave Matthews, Caedmon's Call, Collective Soul, Jars of Clay, etc.

I have very eclectic musical taste. It ranges from jazz, classical. celtic...to rock or alternative. It's easier to say what I dislike, than it is to pinpoint what I like. I don't really care for country music (except for a very few artists) and I don't really like southern gospel or CCM music. Other than that, I pretty much like it all.

I like just about anything except heavy metal, rap, or hard rock. I'll listen to just about anything else. Southern Gospel is probably my favorite. Bluegrass is a very close second.

Psalms, hyms, and spiritual songs.

Col 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

To me, if the music isn't provoking an attitude of worship in my heart then I am simply listening to it for the enjoyment of the flesh. Therefore, I do not listen to any type of "wordly-Christian music."

I don't put this burden on anyone else. This is just what I feel is best for me.

I have a pretty wide range in my musical tastes *grin* from Bach to Toby Mac and even some Linkin Park (some). My current favourite artists are Evanescence, U2, Loreena McKennitt (Canadian artist with an ethnic flair), Great Big Sea (Canadian group with an original, Maritime style), Deliriou5?, 3 Doors Down, Nat "King" Cole, Louis Armstrong, DC Talk (and their solo work), Andrea Boccelli, Josh Groban, Rebecca St. James, Sixpence None the Richer, Newsboys, Selah, and The W's...Okay, there ARE more, but I think you get the idea

I'm pretty much devoted to Hillsong and Mercy Me. Although...my husband just bought a Kutless cd and I was surprised to see how much I really like it. Perhaps there's a rocker in me after all.:thumbsup:
