Hi Times, this is my analogy: If God had a rule that good thing would only happen to good people than John 3:16 would have to be rewrited. 16 "For God so loved the( good people) world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever( the good people) believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Also when he created the Earth he said the it was good. This one also would have to be resolved by creating a Earth that was not good so the bad people could live there. But this analogy would never really work with good or bad people because of this verse: Isa64:6 But we are all like an unclean thing, And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, Have taken us away. Jam 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. Jam 1:16 Do not err, my beloved brethren. Jam 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. Hi, Why does God allow good things to happen to bad people....? God rains on the righteous and the UNrighteous so that all men can see the work of his Hand. God shows by this that he is not a respecter of persons. If God showed more favour to those who who live in India than he does to those who live in America or vice versa, he would be demonstrating himself as a respecter of persons. God honours and wil always remain faithful to his word. When the UNrighteous reap the rewards that God supplies and provides, no man can be in doubt as to Gods goodness. Jesus demonstrated and taught that it is easy to love those who love you in return and its easy to do good for those who do good for YOU, but True Godliness is seen when you repay good for evil. This is something the UNrighteous do not do, and this is what seperates them from True God like character. God demonstrates by doing good even for the UNrighteous there will be no man who can ever deny that God is not and never will be a respecter of persons.. Listen to this though...."The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him and he delivers them." The UNrighteous may have the appearance of prospering, but read Luke 16:19-31 to see what happens to those whos faith is not in Christ. Hope this helps a little. Regards, Ben.
