My post: WOW! Is THIS discussion still going? Once you are saved by accepting Jesus - you are in. But by being saved, I mean that you are saved and your heart is changed. ANYONE who wants to believe that I can loose my salvation has to answer this: Just what would I have to do to loose it? If a sin can take me from His hand, just how BAD of a sin? Where do you draw the line? Would a speeding ticket do it? Would pre-marital sex do it? Murder? Rape? Using His name in vain? Well? All I see in the New Testament is God's Grace. All He asks us to do is to accept His gift, and He does it KNOWING of our sin nature. What makes anyone think that they can do something to offend Him, after all the forgiveness He's already given? Usually, when someone asks this question one of two things are going on: 1) They are listening to some nutjob telling them that they are in danger of losing their salvation unless they write a check to some "ministry". 2) They are up to something they know is wrong and want assurance they are 'safe'. In either case, they are missing the point of His redemptive act - but STILL you'd have to answer my questions in my quoted post above. And NO ONE has been able to do that in any concise way (that is, under 5,000 words!) Live for Him, and get over it.

I couldn't conceive of this happening in my own life, but what happens to a person like this? God doesn't force Himself on anyone. He gives us a choice. Do we get the choice to change our minds? However, one would usually only do that over a hurt - a sick loved one who dies or is murdered, right? In such a hurtful situation - I think God would react like an earthly father, His love would continue. Just my 2 cents....

So when I asked Jesus in my heart in 1982 he saved me right? what about the years I did not follow him was I saved than and just not walking and he keep me safe over the years. Or did I become resaved when I rededicated my life to him? Other people have asked me this question and I just don't know. I would be afraid if I died during a sin because we all sin right? So if I die during a sin am I not saved at that point? Im really confused about this and need some input on this matter. Backup with scriptures will help best

So like a dog who returns to its own vomit, them never having really been changed nor born again, are like dogs and return to their own true lives, which is an unsaved life. That is the spin at least. I don't think it really matters much, with faith you live; without faith in Christ you die that is all I need to know.
