Thinking about a different kind of Bible game, likely not that fun, too complicated, but, the winner actually wins something. Think of it as a reward, for helping be test proof of concept, and programming/web skills.

Below, are the instructions, provided to help you understand how to play, ahead of time, learning at first exposure, will be a real handicap. So:

In the Quotation column, there are quoted verses. The five Xs (XXXXX), represents a missing word. To the right of the quoted verse is a column for you to fill in the missing word. Different Bible versions might have different words, but if you use either the KJV, the NASB, or the NIV, you will be fine. Spelling is critical. In the Book column, use the drop-down list to choose the book name. In the chapter column, supply the chapter number, using numerals (30, not thirty). In the verses column, if there is just one verse, type it's number (2, not two, TWO, nor Two). Also In the verse column, type the first and last verse number of what is quoted. For examples, for Gen 1:1, you would enter "1" (without the quotation marks. For Gen 1:5 and Gen 1:6, it will be "5,6". Do not add spaces, "5,6" is correct, "5, 6" is not correct. For Gen 1:2,3,12, the answer would be "2,12". Make sure there are answers in all the yellow blocked areas. When each if the four aspect of each question has been supplied with the correct answer, the Answer Points column to the right of that answer will display the score for that question number. Once all answers have been correctly supplied, the Final Score area will display "100". Sometimes, there may be a secret number for a 100 score, for purposes which will be explained if utilized.

Still playing with / working on this. Just to help you visualize it better, it will look like this:

To Frances, who I know is looking at this, and to anyone else who is, I think I now have a fully functional prototype, of what i pictured above. I do not know what limitations it has, nor if I can fix any that are there. I do know that not everything works as intended in all browsers, but from what I can tell it at least works in Chrome.

Certain security setting may hinder some functions, since it is java and java script intensive. If it works on smart phones, or even tqblets, I am partially surprised, since I have never owned any of those things, and therefore cannot test them, or ever see what the page looks like. It was intended for computer people, I hope it works for other users of the net as well.

Anyway, the prototype test page is here. If it turns out to be pretty functional for most people, and enough are interested, then I probably will, at least occasionally, have contests where the first person to provide me with the secret code number, will win a voucher for shopping at an online Christian Bookstore.
