(Luke 24:39; John 20:27; Mark 16:19; Luke 22:69). The Father, who never became flesh, is Spirit and has a Spirit body, and must be worshiped in Spirit and truth (John 4:24). A true mystery why not just take it for what he says. If you asked Christ as your personal savior you believed this did you not and now are saved by his grace? Faith, he was God in the Flesh born of a virgin and died for you and left his holy spirit to help us and guide us. Are you looking at it as God and Jesus sharing the exact same body in the literal sense or how can Jesus be one with God being of flesh and bone? Please explain how exactly you see a conflict here? When a man and a women married they become ONE flesh according to God. Of course this can not be in the literal sense. Is this a fair example of what you might be struggling with? dakota190 Posted January 27, 2007 Group: Diamond Member Followers: 1 Topic Count: 97 Topics Per Day: 0.01 Content Count: 640 Content Per Day: 0.10 Reputation: 4 Days Won: 0 Joined: 02/14/2006 Status: Offline Share Posted January 27, 2007 the scriptures speak for themselves to a large extent. there are many verses that clearly state that Jesus the son, is one with the father and the holy spirit, they being (3) triune, refered to as the trinity. i could and will if you indicate the need provide you with any number of scriptures that confirm this. however, it would be best for your own learning if you searched as many as you could on your own. as you follow the threads through scripture you will receive the proof you are seeking. however, be careful, i have never seen anything in the bible that indicated or even hinted that we were "little Jesus'" . to say that we are all Jesus in the flesh is not of the gospel and it is not biblical. we are co-heirs with Christ, we are not divine, as is the son of God, and God will not share his glory. remember Paul in his teaching on works, stated that salvation is a gift, from God, it cannot be earned, there is nothing we can do to gain it, except to accept the completed works of Jesus on the cross. as paul explained, "so no man can boast". there are many false teachers, and false religions. many are misled in the faith by some of these false teachers. so to protect yourself, always, ALWAYS, check everything by the Holy Bible, the inerrant word or God. if what someone tells you can't be proven through the bible, it is a lie. let me caution you about the use of proof texts. don't just use one verse to feel you have proven your point. read the entire section dealing with a topic, to understand the context of the teaching. don't just take someone elses word for a teaching. look it up and be sure. FOR YOURSELF!!!! let me know if you need me to list some of the verses for you as they pertain to the "trinity" your brother in Christ! We cannot worship something that is not God, yet we are commanded to worship Christ, to pray to Christ, we know that Christ has always existed with God. The answer of course is all of the above, that Christ is God, Christ was a man, and God is the Father. Any attempt to separate Christ from God, is an attack by Satan on the divinity of Christ and is one of the oldest works of Satan since the resurrection, and his most effective attack on our faith. I have my own understanding on questions such as these. I am interested in what other Christians believe regarding this doctrin. The Word, who was in the beginning with God, and is addressed as "him" in John 1:3, which proves He was a member of the Godhead, and not the Word of God, or God's Word, divested Himself of His divinity and became flesh. He lived and died as a man, was resurrected as the first of the first fruits in His Glorified Flesh and Bone Body. What was Jesus asking the Father when He prayed to the Father, this prayer?: "And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, THAT THEY MAY BE ONE, AS WE ARE" (John 17:11). And this prayer, "That they MAY BE ONE; as thou, Father art IN ME, and I IN THEE, that they MAY BE ONE IN US: that the world may believe that thou has sent me" (John 17:21). "And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; THAT THEY MAY BE ONE, even AS WE ARE ONE: I in them, and thou IN ME, that they may be made perfect IN ONE; and that the world may know etc., (John 17:22-23). "And I have declared unto them thy name, and I will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, AND I IN THEM" (John 17:26). Was Jesus praying to the Father to keep His disciples and all His followers "one in unity" as He and the Father were. Or was Jesus asking the Father to allow all His disciples, followers, and those who believed in Him to get inside one or all of them and form "one body" as many ministers believe and teach Jesus and the Father are?
