Blessings~ Ronald, Who is Bert's Buddy? A soulmate is someone who is compatible with you. There are different ways to find how who this would be. However I choose not to share those ways. Well, I thought I would let a couple comments go by first, and I would agree with another poster that this is a New Age idea. The term "soul mate", might as well be "flesh mate". Re: Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. The "soul" is what separates man from the dust of the earth. It is the "spirit" that separates man from this world. I want what God wants for me, and He let me know that the wife He gave me was the Proverbs 31 wife, even before we got married. There are so many examples of the pairing of marriage partners in the OT, that I believe God is trying to tell us something. Consider Jacob and his wives Leah and Rachael. Both of these women had roles in the birthing of the 12 Tribes of Israel. But Jacob did not know that at the time. Consider Bathsheba, she was in the lineage of Jesus, but David didn't know that. Sarai gave to Abraham her maid to produce a son. Goes to show you the "soul mate" thing doesn't always work according to God's plan. I prefer to say after meeting that right person, that 'he is the one God has blessed me with' long I know but much more biblical I think... Okay just my thoughts F1
