"Steve's Nastiness"

Recommended Posts

We were looking for something relatively cheap, spicey etc. I decided one night to experiment and this is what came out.

2 Packages McCormack Enchilda Sauce Mix

2 lbs Ground Chuck

1 Can of Rotel Diced tomatoes (any variety..I use the mexican festival one)

1 can of tomato sauce

3 cups water

4 cups of shredded cheese (I use the Mexican Cheese blend but Colby Jack works also)

Very simple to prepare. Brown the meat....Drain WELL!! Add the other ingredients in a pot and bring to a light boil stirring often. Lower the temperature to a slow simmer..continue stirring periodically for 30 min.

We serve this over Ore Ida Texas Crispers (a delight all in themselves) or any other form of wedged potatoes. Makes 4 complete meals at our house.

Ponders what would happen if this thread got merged with Esther's thread "Burnt offerings"

Offering Steve's burnt nastiness?

(Really I need to settle down and stop joking lol.)

rofl, Esther, i came up with it on my own tho the potato wedges were my wife's addition...GL i can call 911 for you and jade it is possible for it to be a burnt offering by not stirring! Rofl, kinda like a Christian getting burned for not stirring outta the pew!

I have too much time on my hands tonight also!

Am I the only one who thinks this sounds great? More like a snack than a meal, though.

Your wife and my wife must be related then. She says the same thing. I am huge fan of potato wedges, though. You can't have too many of them.

I know what's for supper tonight. Thanks Steve.
