http://www.roeiqtest.com/ui/

This is a link to an I.Q. Test about the two cases that changed how abortion is handled in the U.S.

It is very educational. They ask if you what to receive more information on the topic but give you the ability to say no if you want to.

When he laws of God conflict with the laws of the land, we should follow God.

The supreme court mandated abortion on demand...what else is there to know.

There are other things to know. Like:

Who were the judges?

What was the spiritual condition of the Judges?

What was the spiritual condition of the plaintiff?

What were the arguments for and against abortion?

Are those arguments still valid?

Does the Bible render an opinion on the subject?

If so, does the Bible agree with the position of the US Supreme Court?

Do we, as Christians, follow the Bible or the US Supreme Court?

I don't need to know who the judges were...I forgive them and will allow G-d to judge them.

The spiritual condition of the judges and the plaintiff are not my concern, and at this point in history totally irrelevant.

There is no argument for abortion on demand, prior to Roe vs Wade, all the states allowed for intervention to save the mothers life....it was the vague structure of the states clause that lead to abortion on demand.

EX: 21; 22-25

If men strive, and hurt a women with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the women's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.

And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.....I believe this scripture allows us to see G-ds position on this subject very clearly.

A Christian should always do their utmost to follow G-ds teachings and commandments. We are also told to respect the law of the land we live in so as not to bring the government down on our heads. This does not mean we cannot lobby for that which we feel to be unjust and/or unholy in a manner that glorifies the Almighty.

We are also told to respect the law of the land we live in

In Rome it was legal to kill Christians. It was illegal to be Jewish. In the US it is legal to be married to a person of the same sex. It is illegal to spank a naughty child in many places.

The OP of this thread asks if I know Roe. I actually thought I knew a thing or two. When I took the quiz, I was amazed to find that the original ruling was far worse than I thought. It is a law that is not worthy of respect. Of course, I don't live there either, do I?

I have no idea were you live. You are, of course, entitled to have an opinion about Roe vs Wade. I would ask that when you quote what I say, not to take it out of context.

No disrespect intended. I just get tired of long quotes.

By the way, I've been trying to find the scripture that says that we are required to respect the laws of the land. I find we are required to respect the leadership and to pray for them but I'm coming up empty with respect to laws that violate God's laws.

"Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men". Acts 5:29

In this chapter Peter had been arrested for teaching about Jesus and was arrested. When he got out of prison he went right back to preaching about Jesus. When he was arrested again he made the above statement.

It is true for us today -- we follow God's laws if they conflict with man's laws, we still are to follow God.
