I never get sick. But just recently in my spiritual walk I was going through some difficulty with someone and whenever I got really mad at the person or upset about somethiing they said, I got sick! And sometimes really sick! They were all feverish type symptoms.. Does happen to anyone? Or do you all know why this happens???

I can relate to some of what you are saying. I don't get angry with people, but I do get hurt very easily. When I am hurting, I do get physical symptoms.

The first indication that I was suffering from Post-traumatic stress disorder was abdominal pains which the doctors initially thought was appendicitis. I was in hospital at the time but having got as far as signing the consent form to have surgery, it was then decided that it was not appendicitis!!! Further physical tests could find no physical cause for the severe pain. It was then concluded that the pain (definitely real and not doubted by the doctors) was in fact psychosomatic - ie real, but caused by something not physical. Further discussion revealed that I had been raped and that I was suffering from PTSD as a result of this incident.:) :)

yes, I get migraine type of headaches. I believe it is a spiritual attack and the moment you recognize it pray against it, and stop arguing with this person. I won't elaborate on the board what I believe this is but if you would like to PM me I will give you some information about it.

Nope...

Anger is a natural emotion. I try not to sin in my anger and I try not to hold on to that anger for a long period of time. I think maybe if I were to sin or to be angry for a long time about something, I could imagine becoming ill about it. But I get angry, say something about it, or get over it.

After reading the comments though, I feel a bit odd about not becoming sick when I'm angry with some one.

Oh well...

No, you're not odd.

Anger is an intense emotion, and an unpleasant one. To feel sick when one gets angry is an indication that something is wrong.

You sound like someone who is comfortable with your anger and know how to deal with it. Those of us who are not comfortable with our anger and don't know how to deal with it (or have some trauma to deal with as was mentioned above) will have physical reactions to our anger - either strong our subtle.

I was never this way, I get angry but I get over it very quickly and I never noticed any physical out come of it. But it was only recently that when I got seriously upset with someone in particular I got sick every time and it was like a serious illness. All I would do is think about how unjustly they treated me and I would be knocked out for a day or two, sometimes 3 with feverish type of symptoms. I thought it was spiritual because I could sense something different about it but I didn't know if this could happen.

Now that I've heard some of your responses and a private pm I received. I am definitely sure now that this is spiritual and thank GOD for worthy boards for letting us share our experiences together! What a blessing!

I don't get angry with anybody, not even liberals. I just get frustrated, and that usually gives me a headache. Like right now; I had a long meeting with two "good old boy" agents, pointing fingers and yelling at each other over a minor point in a contract. I just sat there, dumbfounded and frustrated that I had wasted my time with these two. It gave me a headache, a real beaut.
