Rick, Rick, Rick, Rick, Rick..... just kidden, couldn't resist.... :)

Now back to Obama....did anyone else watch Fox news and see the little clip from one of his campain (yepp meant to spell it that way) rallies?

Everyone cheering, yelling, waving their arms...and he says...wait, I need to blow my nose....he pulls out kleenex and blows....and everyone cheers :o;) I gotta tell ya...that just creeps me out....the man just has to blow his nose and people go nuts...somethings rotten....

i'd use the roll eyes emoticon, but it has a smile on it LOL. that's just bizarre! i'm glad i didn't see it!

ya know, i don't recall any girls wearing sleazy clothes making a video about how they wanted to be reagan's girl, do you? obama is regarded as some sort of sex symbol or something.... reagan, famous as he was for his acting career, never had that kind of following. people respected him, but they didn't worship him.

Honestly, its hard to find the right words to describe this strange behavior....but after the nose blowing clip...I just give up! How do we deflect "incomprehensible" behavior with logic..... :P:P:P

Michael Savage's "liberalism is a mental disorder" comes to mind. Liberals are atheist/agnostic in nature so they need something to believe in. Hollywood worships itself and barak obama, so naturally the liberal lemmings follow their favorite character. Does the story of the pied piper mean anything to you?

quote forrestkc: "Yet the Democrats have the most inspiring candidate they have had since Bobby Kennedy, and the Republicans are jealous. . ."

Do you really think we are that fickle? Hope, Change, etc. are nice words but they don't inspire us. We aren't simpletons. I could never be jealous of a baby killing socialist. A socialist is not something to be admired by independent minded and motivated human beings and especially Christians and Traditionalists.

Your low opinion of Christians and Conservatives infects your posts and I stopped taking you seriously a long time ago. It's impossible for you to have an unbiased discussion. We talk about the creepiness of Obamania and you bring up Reagan, who is admired by people all across the political spectrum.

His idea of change and hope will lead to socialism and despair. Socialism has been around longer than our democracy, there's nothing new about it. His idea of new things is higher taxes, we suffered through those already, international healthcare, germany, russia, china, cuba even most of europe all have that program, that's nothing new either. Reducing the military was done in the nineties and we see how well that worked, we've been trying to undo the damage of the clinton regime for nearly 8 years now. abortion on demand, that's nothing new either, abortion has been around for over 40 years, at a cost of over 40 million of our children. Child sacrifice has been around longer than the bible, what's new about that? We are still sacrificing our children to our gods, but we are so arrogant as a nation, that we believe we are deists and are sacrificing our children for ourselve's relentless pursuit of recreation and materialism.

Hope? For what? Christians already have hope, it's what we live for. Is barak obama gonna fill in that spiritual vacuum, perhaps one day, when he can call fire down from the heavens or raise the dead.

A social utopia will never exist, how many lives will be destroyed when we finally figure that out. How many people will be sent to hell before we realize that we cannot govern ourselves?

He also managed to cut that Clinton era job creation rate by more than half, actually reduce median income by nearly 1000 dollars since he took office, ruin the nation's reputation around the world, and destroy any competence in government that was left over from the 90s. Its taken a lot of work, but little by little, the Republicans have managed to do that.

On a side note, I had no idea until JustinM pointed it out that I worshiped Obama as some kind of a deity. Its rather ironic to be called a "lemming" by someone that does nothing but spew talking points out of right wing talk radio and right wing books. You can bet that what ever buzz words guys like O'Reilly are throwing around, "traditionalists verses secular progressives" and so on, they will be repeated on here by those that call liberals unthinking lemmings. The day I outsource my brain to Bill O'Reilly and Savage, maybe they will have a point.

Did Clinton do the right thing by signing NAFTA? Did you lose your job because of it? I know lots of people who did...although not until Bush was in office...but the company had to wait for its contracts to expire...that took a few years depending on when the company signed them...they knew who to blame...do you?

Did Clinton do the right thing by signing NAFTA?

Yes.

Did you lose your job because of it?

No.

I know lots of people who did...although not until Bush was in office...but the company had to wait for its contracts to expire...that took a few years depending on when the company signed them...they knew who to blame...do you?

Transitional economies always result in worker displacement as old industries are phased out and or outsourced. However, the question is were more jobs created than lost? Economists estimate that NAFTA resulted in a loss of just over 1 million jobs. However, 22 million jobs were created during the Clinton years. Thats 22 million net new jobs. Moreover, median income went up every single year. In fact, the median household income was 8 thousand dollars higher at the end of the Clinton years than it was at the beginning. In contrast, median household income today is a thousand dollars lower than it was the day Bush took office.

Free trade catches a lot of blame, but the fact is you will not find a single economist that would argue against it. Free trade can result in some job losses in some industries. This is because it results in sectors of the economy that the United States is inefficient at being outsourced to nations that are more efficient at them, meanwhile the resources freed up by moving those inefficient industries out of our economy are freed up for use by sectors of our economy which we are much more competitive in. For example, while we have lost a lot of manufacturing jobs, we also gained a huge number of high paying jobs in I.T., Biotech, and Medicine as well as other new economy industries.

I can understand liberals arguing against free trade because they have an ideological objection to it (they are wrong though). I can't understand conservatives arguing against it because free trade is a pillar of the free market.

Tell those that worked their whole lives in those manufacturing jobs that it made good economic sense.... I would venture to say that its way more than 1 million jobs loss....here in MI alone its almost 200,000 jobs lost...although I will say NOT all of them went overseas, some left the state because of our tax happy governor...yepp, shes a dem :24:

To be fair, I'm not a huge McCain fan either.... :24: Le Sigh.....

I would like to add though, I don't give a whit what an "economist" thinks about free trade....those who are not affected have their heads in the clouds ignoring the millions who are....sorry, just how it is.

Not to be a stick-in-the-mud about your theories, forrestkc, but that outsourcing cost me a $45000 a year job. However, another job market did increase where I did find my new job. A Homeless Outreach Worker, for less then half the pay.

I wanted to use this as an example, not because I dislike my new job. Helping others is what God has me doing and I do have my needs met, but there is no justification for so many jobs lost. It cost many thousands of dollars to become re-educated in order to qualify for these new jobs in high technology, if they do not already have the skills, which most do not.

Finding anyone to argue against it is like trying to find anyone on the republican side to argue against giving tax breaks to the big companies, who, in return, were supposed to pass it down to their workers, but have lined their pockets with huge bonuses, gigantic stock options and unbelievable retirement plans. Nobody will ever bite the hand that feeds them.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
