    • No - the lack of historical evidence for early belief implies that this is not a biblical concept!

The idea of a pre-trib rapture did not exist during the early Churchh which is why there is no documentation on the subject from any of the early church leaders.

Sure it did.

"Sure it did" Doesn't prove anything to any body. Perhaps you can give a quote from an early churc leader who lived within the first three hundred years of the church. Or prove that the bible says "there will be seven years of tribulation" or quote the verse that tell us that the "restrainer is the church" if you can. :emot-hug::emot-hug::emot-hug:

Paul says a lot, and so does John!

Still no Quotes? By not coming up with a quote proves that I am right. Though Paul and John say a lot neither one of them say "there will be seven years of tribulation" and the same goes for the restrainer. Here is how I live "If it is not written in the word of God it does not exist". So with that in mind we need to understand that to take a stand on something that is not written in the bible is nothing more than an assumption with no re-enforcing scripture. So to preach that which is not written in the bible as if it was is a sin.

Now lets go to an even higher authority. Lets see what Jesus had to say.

Matthew 24:21 "For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be".

Here Jesus says nothing at all about any seven years of tribulation but he says that there will be great tribulation. Nor does Jesus say that there will be a rapture/resurrection before the great tribulation.

Matthew 24:29 & 30 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:"And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory".

Again there is no mention of any rapture/resurrection before any period of great tribulation. I do believe that we are waiting for our Lord and Savior to show up in the clouds so we can meet HIM UP THERE. Right?

Why is it that all of those who believe in a pre-tribulation resurrection never talk about these verses. Or better yet why is it that when they read verse 29 they do not see the words "Immediately after the tribulation of those days"? Isn't the word "after" talking about what is to happen next "after the tribulation of those days"?

AGAIN there simply no scriptural proof of a seven years tribulation period that is to take place in the future nor has it ever happened in the past. Unless of course you are a perterist.
