About this blog

I'm neither a teacher nor a scholar. Here's both who and what I am:

A servant of Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God. It is He who has given this life to me.

This blog is an opportunity to share my thoughts on a variety of both theological and testimonial subjects, separate and distinct from what unfolds on the forums. I'm not one to expound at length and engage in what I have characterized as "monologues" on the forums, as this defeats the purpose of why I have a presence on Worthy: fellowship with my brothers and sisters in the Lord. 

This blog will shed light upon my theological views and how I arrived at these positions; hence portions of my testimony are necessarily involved in the telling. I wasn't reared in the churches, my friends: the Lord snatched me from this world out of the blue! It would be good to share how Marathoner came to be where he is at this point in time.

Despair

No matter what I have witnessed and regardless of what I have been through, the despair never goes away.  The Lord has moved mightily, and He chose to display His power in me on more than one occasion, and still I despair.  It is for this reason that the Lord remains with me just as He was on that day when I was close to the grave, and I hear His voice... and He inclines His ear toward me. Testimony

When I rediscovered that I have a blog here on Worthy, I was surprised. Ah... I had forgotten about it! Oops. I always meant to revisit my testimony and share it with you all, and perhaps this blog is the best place to do that. To that end, I'll devote this section of the blog to sharing key events and times beginning on that day when the Lord called me to Him.  It's late, so I'll return during the day to continue.
