  1. You beat me to the punch Kari. I was going to say the same thing.
  2. Thats funny. The Iranian President is blaming the U.S. for devisions that have existed for centuries between the Shiites and the Sunni. It goes without saying that our government will ignore such calls and will continue to kiss the collective Muslim butt just as they are prodding Israel to do. As much as we need a "wake up call" our government is too preoccupied with its own desires to acknowledge the usual saber rattling made by Muslim leaders.
  3. It wouldn't be within the U.S. borders. It would redefine our border altogether. The tribe has been working on this for 40 years to make sure they go about it the right way. The land that they occupy is theirs in accordance with the treaties that were signed by the U.S. government. Technically the land never belonged to the U.S. government at all. Though they could take it by force or coercion with almost no resistance and force them to sign a new treaty. Obviously this would not look good on them since they have been defending Taiwans' right to independence. You can bet that the U.S. government would see far less resistance than the Chinese would. The situations are similar enough that if the U.S. were to seize the land from the Lakota by force or coercion than I would be willing to bet that China would use that as an excuse to take Taiwan by force. And if the U.S. protested they would fire back with accusation of double standards.
  4. Unfortunately members of Hamas were elected to office and this is what has put them in control. Hamas did not take control by force but by elections. Hamas, like the PLO and Fatah have refused to recognize Israel as a sovereign state. The policy adopted by most of the worlds countries is that they will not negotiate with terrorists. I honestly don't see how they can expect Israel to do negotiate with terrorists either.
  5. I agree with you Damo1. They should all just stand in a circle and start throwing stones because they certainly do NOT worship the God of Abraham as they profess. Their prophet may as well be Lucifer for all the good that has come from Islam.
  6. The evidence is that no planes have been hijacked or blown up. What other evidence is necessary? I suppose if one in a hundred planes were falling out of the sky they would feel they were accomplishing something? Perhaps there are some elements of their screening that need to be reviewed but other than that if they were to ease up on security they would find out soon enough that they were doing the right thing. It only take ONE plane to crash or explode before they realize they need to stay vigilant.
  7. Libertarians make me nervous thanks to civil liberties groups such as the ACLU. To me, Ron Paul is more Conservative than Liberal. Check this out. I think he has the right idea. Perhaps he is keeping his faith to himself so he doesn't turn off the liberal voters. People like where he stands on the issues and thats what he is focussed on.
  8. Wait a minute here. This is very dangerous thinking. Our political beliefs about the secular nation state of Israel and the Jews who happen to live in Israel have NOTHING to do with our salvation. I worship Christ not the secular nation of Israel. Certainly no Christian can harbor hate in their heart for any group of people including Jews and I believe we should support Isreal. But to simply say that Christ should be welcome in Israel, that modern Judaism ( which is a false religion) should not be the state religion in Israel, I don't have a problem saying that at all. So how far do we go to deny Christ in order to please non-Christian Jews? I support Israel
  9. While they are land-locked they do share a border with Canada. The Canadians may be more understanding than the U.S. might be. Trade is something they will have to work out. The NAFTA highway would also be running through their land (if they allowed it) and would provide a means for Mexico and other Latin American nations to trade with and use it as hub for illegals to infiltrate both Canada and the U.S. (not that they have much trouble as things are). Interestingly enough, the state of Texas, while it is considered part of the U.S. has it's own constitution and as I am told, is a nation unto itself. Is it any wonder then why their economy is so strong? It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
  10. Heres the Article. As if the accident wasn't outlandish enough they actually found a donor AND replaced the missing organs. The article says she is in serious, but stable, condition. It's amazing that she didn't drown and or bleed to death. In the case of "stranger things have happened" in this case I would not agree. I can't help it but thoughts of the scene in Aliens 3 keep popping in my mind. The whole incident is just so Bizarre. I'm so very glad she survived though she will likely be on pills the rest of her life to prevent her body from rejecting the donor organs.
  11. Not yet they aren't. All the paperwork was submitted to the U.N. back in September according to the article. The could find themselves in a predicament if they do actually wind up a separate nation. It could also be the beginning of the end for the U.S. as they, being a separate nation, would be free to invite all the Muslims they want. Not knowing any better the Indians would probably be bread out, not by whites, but by Hispanics and Arabs. Interesting times is what the Bible says we will have in the end days. In this case, interesting is an understatement.
  12. He has raised more money than other Republican candidates. He is still only raising about half as much money as Hillary and Obama are and the vast majority of the money he is raising is coming from independents, not Republicans. To win the Republican nomination you have to have support among Republicans. Thats his problem. Ron Paul is a true libertarian. Now, there are some Republicans out there that call themselves libertarian, but most of them are not true libertarians. To be a libertarian does not mean that your just for low taxes. A libertarian is essentially a social liberal, strong supporter of civil liberties, for drug decriminalization, against all forms of legislated morality, for almost unlimited immigration, and against virtually all federal government spending, including most defense spending. Does that describe a typical Republican these days? Its not enough just to be able to raise money to win the nomination, you also have to get core party support which is what Ron Paul lacks. Look at 2004, Howard Dean by far out-raised every other Democratic Candidate, and he did it just like Ron Paul, from small donors, yet he did not win a single state's primary. His website does not make him sound like a Libertarian. His website says he wants to secure all the borders and do away with the "anchor baby" law. It's possible he is vying for a portion of the republican vote but then again who isn't. If he is so far left why are so many conservatives leaning his direction? I can tell you that how much money he is or has raised has nothing to with my liking him. I don't vote for the most likely to win. I vote for the person I view as the best candidate. I am still undecided but Ron Paul has definitely gotten my attention. I am also giving Huchabee serious consideration as well. Having Chuck Norris at his side during his interview with Sean Hannity did not impress me. While his Christmas message was well received I think the other candidates were disingenuous by doing a similar thing. Rudy Giuliani had Santa standing next to him in his Holiday wishes broadcast. I believe he was mocking Huckbee (and Christians) more than wishing anyone a happy anything.
  13. I saw a documentary last night that highlighted the impact on the Palestinian Christians and how they had been caught in the middle. SO many of th Palestinian Christians are leaving that those that remain fear being the only ones left and worry about who will protect and care for the historical sites. I believe it was the Natgeo channel. All last night they showed Documentaries focussed on Israel so I was pretty much captivated. One such program practically claimed that the Jews stole the land from the Palestinians. I expected no less to be honest. They will probably be showing them through the holidays.
  14. Seems reasonable. I mean if you found a facebook profile for Britney Spears or Whoopie Goldberg would you honestly believe it was hers?
  15. Apparently the U.S. governments arrogance has not gone unnoticed and there are a few who feel they can do something about it. Read the Article. Though I doubt much will come of this it one of those things that makes ya go "Hmmmm".
  16. He doesn't need any nomination to run Independent. Just because we have two political parties doesn't mean that they alone decide who can or can't run for office. Welcome to Democracy.
  17. I think Ron is going about it the right way. He is building up slowly and not drawing any more attention to himself than occurs by word of mouth or internet. The media seems to be leaving him alone and so do his opponants. For the time being he can sit back and let them slug it out while he bides his time. I like Ron Paul but he will have to come out of the shadows before much longer. I know he can and probably will run independant so the primaries are not likely to affect him much. I think he is doing it right so far.
  18. Try this link This one is correct.
  19. I believe this "intell" is nothing but a lie to allow the U.S. to back down from Iran without looking like they gave up. As I said, Iran has not denied it's intentions and has defiantly defended their "right" to possess nuclear "technology". Iranian leaders have said in no uncertain terms that they wish to "wipe Israel off the map". From this we can assume that when Iran has enough weapons it will attack Israel. We are duty bound to make sure they never have the weapons (specificaly nuclear) to wage war on Israel. We cannot afford to be wrong in the case of Iran. Even if the evidence indicate they are decades away from developing a nuclear weapon the fact is that they ARE still developing their technology and must not be allowed to reach their goal. I still do not think that if they had a single Nuclear warhead that they would be a threat, even to Israel, but when the technology is available they most definately be giving it to terrorist organizations that won't hesitate to walk into the heart of Israel and detonate. Iraq is a unique situation I believe. They did have chemical weapons. Just not in the quanities they were believed to have. Everything Saddam had was a ruse to keep Iran at bay. Apparently the sanctions were, despite U.N. corruption, still having an affect on his ability to aquire, develope or maintain any respectable amount of equipment and artillery. But then again they were fighting the worlds most advanced military. Saddams regime was a paper tiger that survived by instilling fear in its people and reacting harshly to any who questioned it. Since Iraq was indeed a unique situation I do not believe that the data being collected is less reliable than before Iraq. That being said, Istill believe we are being lied to by someone because I have no doubts whatsoever about Irans goals since they have already said what they intend to do. It's only a matter of time before they attack or Israel attacks in self defense.
  20. Not that I necessarily disagree with you....who would you like our gov't to base its decisions on? When our intelligence agencies say that Iran is clean is our gov't supposed to say "You have no idea what your talking about" and then attack Iran? If our intel says Iraq has WMD and we attack Iraq...I can understand that. The intel said there was a threat. But if the intel says that a country is NOT doing something...and we still go on the offensive...thats an entirely different thing. I'm not sure I like what your insinuating. You presume that I think we did the right thing by attacking Iraq. You couldn't be farther from the truth. While I am glad Saddam is no longer in power I also did not feel he was a threat to us. I don't even consider Iran to be a threat. Even if they had a small arsenal of nuclear weapons they would not be a direct threat to the U.S. They are a threat to world peace when they threaten to wipe other nations off the map. The have not once denied they were pursuing nuclear technology (weapons) and have instead defended their right to it. That being the case I have every reason to believe that Iran seeks to acquire nuclear weapons and that any claims to the contrary are simple misinformation. Even so I do not yet believe military intervention is YET necessary and I would think the combined intelligence of many U.N. nations is required before force is used.
  21. This just doesn't make sense. WorthyNews article. This so called Christian leader is not a Christian in my eyes. Any who deny the Jews any claim to Israel is no friend of Israel and is by nature a curse to Israel. I understand that many Catholics are Christians but just being Catholic does not make one a Christian. Catholicism is not, in my eyes, even a branch or sect of Christianity. Any person who rejects the Jews also reject Christ because he too was/is a Jew. He is King of the Jews!
  22. Until they give us a choice that would prevent both unwanted candidates from being elected we have no choice but to vote for the best candidate, good or bad.
  23. While I sympathize, they knew the risks when they came. What I find offensive here is the term "comprehensive reform" being thrown around. The only reform they were looking for was amnesty. I do find it refreshing to see that some policies are beginning to have an impact. In all of this, one of the biggest carrots on the stick has been the anchor baby law. Perhaps they will fix that and remove a big part of the incentive for them to come here illegally.
  24. At this rate perhaps our "leaders" will sell them to Iran. I'm still pretty upset about them claiming Iran halted their nuclear weapons program. Now they are covering it up by saying it's "unknown" whether Iran started it up again. Iran has been making improvements on and developing new ballistic missiles and is currently making efforts to produce weapons grade nuclear fuel. Thats sounds like a nuclear weapons program to me. Now, they are getting shipments of nuclear fuel from Russia. Who's to say they aren't sending them weapons grade fuel marked as lower grade fuel? The ineffectiveness of our intelligence agencies is simply astounding and for our government to continue making decisions based on their reports is frightening.
  25. Fox News Article A multicultural sentiment could wind up being the U.K.s undoing. Apparently the Muslims are breeding like rabbits for the name Muhammad to be overtaking such generic names as Jack, Tom, Micheal and Harry as most popular name. It's scary how Christian influence is being slowly erased while Muslims are being accommodated despite their violent nature. Under the guise of "tolerance" European countries have been more than welcoming to people from various cultures, and Muslims from wide and far have seized the opportunity. While I am not a fan of illegal immigration here in the U.S. at least most of them are Catholic and help to offset the number of Muslims making their way to the U.S.
