  1. How do you rebuild trust with the church knowing what they did to you on purpose when you weren't ready and they knew you weren't but they did it anyway. It just has become so hard for me to connect and embrace my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ knowing what alot of them do/did and how they do/did it??

Father I know You are very close to the brokenhearted, please hear her cry for fellowship in purity.  A place to call home and a family to be a part of in love  and holiness.  Lord You blessed the poor in spirit, and those who hunger and thirst for righteousness.  Please grant this precious one the blessing of divine hunger for Your presence and Your Word.  Let her be transformed by the  renewing of her mind through the  washing of the water of that Word...Words of love...and life.

I ask You to restore every single year the locusts have eaten....and hide her in Your  secret place  from all who would desire to harm her.  Let we ask that You charge Your majestic heavenly host with  her protection and I praise You and thank You for calling her out  into the liberty  found in Jesus.  Please strengthen and encourage her with the sure knowledge of Your  great love for her and somehow show her just  how proud You are of how far she's come.  Let her  know with great  assurance that  You always finish the good works You begin.

I am eager to see the day  this warrior will stand in the power of Your Name and gates of hell will fall because of what You will do through her and many will come to Your light shining through her.  Let her be used to destroy  the very system arrayed against her and claim ground for the Kingdom in preparation for the  King's arrival.

    amen

This is one of the most beautiful things I've ever read. Thanks again Jostler.

I also personally feel that many churches and Christians also idolize marriage to the point of cruelty.

Wouldn't it also dishonor the Lord if a man abuses his wife?

I appreciate the thoughtfulness of this post but I don't think God values marriage more than the individuals in it. We will not agree here. But I think abuse is grounds for divorce and so is adultery.

I just find that, in my experience with churches and other Christians, that the onus is usually put on the wife to be holy and submit and endure while the husband is never held accountable.

So totally agree. Sadly I know this all too well to be true and even more so now.

  4. Study to show thyself approved unto God a workman that needeth not to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth.

    Jesus wept

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord and he shall lift you up

The Lord is my strength and refuge a very present help in time of trouble

God hath not given me the spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind

Beloved let us love one another for love is of God and everyone that loveth is born of God and knoweth God he that loveth not knoweth not God for God is love Beloved let us love one another 1John4:7-8
