Can you explain the no part? -

They seem to have exceeded the scope of my question. I'm just asking if Jesus "dying for our sins" means anything other than that Jesus took the punishment for our sins by dying for them. -

Maybe you guys are answering more than I'm asking? -

I think you might be missing what I'm asking, unless I'm missing something. Does Jesus "dying for our sins" mean anything other than that Jesus took the punishment for our sins by dying for them? I guess this is sort of the new question. -

Oops, sorry about that. You aren't wording my question differently unless I'm mistaken somehow. (I asked you not to word my question differently, unless I'm mistaken nzkev) I think my question still stands, again unless I'm missing something. -

Does Jesus "dying for our sins" mean anything other than that Jesus took the punishment for our sins by dying for them? Does that help? -

I think you might be missing the simplicity of my question (if that's the right way to put it), or I'm still missing something, I guess. -

Jesus dying for our sins means something else other than that Jesus took the punishment for our sins by dying for them? If it does can you please explain what else it means? (or anyone else for that matter, given that you can do this) -

So Jesus dying for our sins means He took the punishment for our sins by dying for them, but it means other things too? -

But weren't the sins of the world placed on Jesus and the wrath of God the Father poured out on Him? Didn't He take the punishment for our sins? I don't get the payment language, Him paying our price, and the bill being paid. I guess it seems to lessen what happened if Jesus took the punishment for our sins. -
Is there instruction in Scripture saying who sins should be confessed to? (out of the Father, the Son, or the Holy Spirit)
-
I think you might still need to confess to someone if you said something behind their back that caused them to not get promoted, unless it was something that was legitimate, like something about them not being competent for the position. If you said something legitimate in a nasty way then that is something that maybe you would not confess to that person, in my opinion.

Are the 10 Commandments called "the moral law"?
plo1988 replied to plo1988's topic in Do you want to just ask a question?
Edit: Memory problem... Are you saying yes, the 10 Commandments are called "the moral law"? If so, where are they called "the moral law"? -
Unless I'm mistaken 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 says He died for our sins and that He was raised on the third day. Jesus died on the cross, right? Did Jesus die to take the punishment for our sins? I guess my best guess to both of those questions is yes. I guess my mind is messed up. I might be coming across as really hard to handle.

Did Jesus die on the cross to take the punishment for our sins and rise from the dead the third day?
-
What is the gospel?
-
Did Jesus take the punishment we deserve for our sin? If so, did Jesus take the punishment we deserve for our sin on the cross and before the cross?
-
Who resurrected Jesus? Was it the Father, Jesus Himself, and the Holy Spirit?
