I had a dream the other night where I saw a giant titdal wave of living water and it was infused with rainbow colors it kind of just rose like a titdal wave but stayed there not falling down but it was so beautiful I cried in the dream then it shifted to me standing outside and I saw the sku rip open like a partal in the sky and me and others had wings of crimson fire and flew into the opening in the sky we then were on this waterslide of living water and there was a joy unlike any other I have ever known and upon coming to the end of the water we were on a beach of some kind in a place where it was night time and there was a cabin where Jesus himself stood I rememeber looking back where we came from not wanting to go back to the world I came from. Then everyone there was hanging out and chatting with Jesus as he walked around talking with everyone I wanted to ask him if I could keep my promise to him but for some reason he kept evading me but soon after this we were all shown a forest of some kind where we were to be trained I remember this forest was deep green and beautiful beyond my imagination I don't know what we did in there but when we came out a man stood there at the beach with a book in his hands. it was morning time now and I have always considered myself to be weak but the man opened the book flipped through some pages and told me I was strong but not just strong fiery strong and suddenly I was. Then out of the sky an army of demons came and there was a giant bull face in the sky we all went to battle against these demons but I saw the giant bull and taunted him with my finger as if saying come on but he refused to budge so I went to him going past all the minor demons and I slammed him in the face with my fists sending him flying. Then after this the scene changed and we were all sent by griups of two to seek out seven holy items and then the dream ended

Yes there is always a sense of knowing that comes with it sometimes it is hard to explain but it is like you just know

Well it isnt a certain element or anything just that in the dream I felt I was in the tribulation it was a certain feeling that spoke to me like a sense of knowing

I am researching the gift of prophecy and being prophetic and being a prophet, my understanding though I admit I have no basis for it is that being prophetic and having the gift of prophecy is not the same as being a prophet and I was wondering if anyone had any insight on this matter. to me at least though I have no idea why I believe this is that having the gift and being prophetic is something like recieving from the God and speaking it forth to the body but being a prophet is more of a leadership type role a heavy burden much accountability to go with it. I see many false prophets on youtube everyone seems to want to be a prophet but not considering the cost or accountability, but the scriptures say 1 Corinthians 14:1: "Pursue love, and earnestly desire spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy But even so I am wanting to go into deep detail on this subject I want to learn what it actually means to have the gift and how it can differ from actually being a prophet any insight would be greatly appreciated

Yes therw are many like that but not all of them some are actually genuine

Well they are far and few inbetween but I have met one before he was some t.v. preacher and at the time I was in deep depression drinking a lot not bothering to pick up my beer cans and this man suddenly stopped preaching looked directly at the camera and started saying how he could see my room full of beer cans and that I was indulging in the devils nector I was completely shocked thinking how did he know? I wish I could find that person again but he saw in the spirit and was given revelation to info he could not have known otherwise

Well for example by rvelation or word of knowledge I was at church asnd this man and I were talking and he said how he had studied the bible for years and never saw an act of God so he didn't believe anymore and I said to him here is your act of God your cat is going to bring you a dead baby racoon I had never met this man before and had no idea he had a cat and three days later he came running to me saying I believe now what you said happened my cat brought me a dead baby racoon I was given revelation or a word of knowledge whatever you want to call it and in specific detail this lead him to believe in God again is this not also what a prophet is supposed to do with revelation lead people back to God?

True they did speak revelation so in todays age would they serve the same purpose under Christ or assuming the role has not ceased do they remain the same. I hear lots of different explanation about it speaking revelation with prophecy interpreting the word and will of God edifying and building up the church shepherding his flock ect. with so many different ideas of what a true prophets role is it is hard to pin point their exact role within the church. to me they are to edify build up and strengthen his body though they can recieve revelatuion like a word of knowledge but some say that is what teachers are for
