  1. @enoob57 thank you for those. I realized while reading through this that I often wait to take heed until temptation comes, thinking that is the time to stand. But then I miss all of the opportunities in the times when I’m not tempted to grow for battle in the temptation. I also focus too much on the goal of not sinning in temptation which just leads to being worn down and losing. Instead I want to start finding ways of fighting by doing good, being righteous, which is more than just not sinning. I’m thinking of when Paul says that he who steals should work so then he can give.
  2. Has anyone here had success in overcoming long set in sinful patterns? I have a strong devotional life, regularly attend church and small group, pray, listen to extra sermons, but I still keep finding myself going back to the same besetting sins when stress and anxiety build. I signed up for these forums to start to get more help in this area.
