  1. Hello BlindSeeker, Many thanks for your link. I enjoyed reading the text. God bless revel
  2. Hello to you, Richard, and to everyone else following this: Welcome, israelitenation, and thanks for the link. Richard: We certainly do agree upon much. Let us always recall this. After the Resurrection celebration, we can begin our dialogue on various points that you raised
  3. Hello Richard, I recalled your opening post on this thread... I shall look forward to reviewing your submittal. Since your initial post, I submitted many Scriptures. Prior to our upcoming discussion, would you be so kind as to share with us: 1. What you did agree with. 2. What blessed you. 3. Was there anything you saw in the Scriptures that you hadn't seen before... that blessed you? Let us begin where we rejoice together!! God bless your heart. revel
  4. Hello Richard, Please know that my last post was not my critique of your critique. My statement about 3 days and 3 nights is not relevant to you... I stated it in contrast to the theme of the post: our religious ancestors... The last post sets the stage for my upcoming post... which is the beginning of my critique. God bless. revel
  5. Hello Richard, Well, that was quite a response!! At this point in the program I guess it is my turn to critique your critique... In doing so, I will call upon Hebrew scholars... and the Scriptures.... But, first, in keeping with the central theme of this thread... We as Christ's church can trust the words of Christ: For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. (Matt. 12:40) "Good Friday" is a hoax. While we can trust the words of Christ, it becomes obvious that we cannot blindly trust the words of our religious ancestors. The integrity of divine revelation is at stake. And now, a word about our spiritual past... What actually happened to the church late in the first century? What did Paul say? You know that everyone in the province of Asia has deserted me. (2 Tim. 1:15) Paul wrote this second letter to Timothy in about A.D. 67. What did John say? I [John] wrote to the church, but Diotrephes, who loves to be first, will have nothing to do with us. So if I come, I will call attention to what he is doing, gossiping maliciously about us. Not satisfied with that, he refuses to welcome the brothers. He also stops those who want to do so and puts them out of the church. (3 John 9, 10) John revealed the mind-set of a church leader so twisted that he rejected not only an apostle but also cast Christ
  6. THE FEAST OF WEEKS (PENTECOST) In the days of Moses, God established the land bridge to freedom that enabled the Israelites to journey forward toward the Promised Land. Along the way, they reached the wilderness of Sinai and camped by its holy mountain. Exactly fifty days after the Israelites crossed the Red Sea, God met with them at Mount Sinai. [T]here was thunder and lightning, with a thick cloud over the mountain, and a very loud trumpet blast. Everyone in the camp trembled. Then Moses led the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain. Mount Sinai was covered with smoke, because the Lord descended on it in fire. The smoke billowed up from it like smoke from a furnace, the whole mountain trembled violently, and the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder. Then Moses spoke and the voice of God answered him. (Exod. 19:16

  8. THE LAST SUPPER: THE GOSPEL OF LUKE Then came the day of Unleavened Bread on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed [Nisan 14]. Jesus sent Peter and John, saying,
  9. THE LAST SUPPER: THE GOSPELS OF MATTHEW AND MARK Why is it that some of our religious ancestors rejected the clear record of John
  10. Hello Richard, Has anyone ever asked you,
  11. Hello Fresno Joe, Thanks for the welcome! revel
  12. Hello Richard, I do appreciate the "heart" you display in your responses. With regard to the destruction of the temple, allow me to share the following: Take a look at the following prophecy from Jeremiah, then look at what is recorded in the New International Study Bible... As written by the prophet Jeremiah:
  13. THE LAST SUPPER When did the Last Supper take place? The prevailing belief is this: the Synoptic Gospels state the Last Supper was the actual Passover Feast, while John states the Last Supper was eaten the night before the Passover. In essence, our ancestors believed the Synoptic Gospels contradict John. This
  14. Hello Richard, and many thanks for your heart-felt thoughts on this thread. Hello Sheya. You raised a wonderful point about comparing Mount Sinai to Pentecost. That will be my last post: The Feast of Weeks (Pentecost). This holy day completes the season of Passover.... On with the thread... THE CHRONOLOGY OF EVENTS AND THE YEAR OF THE CRUCIFIXION SATURDAY SUNSET, NISAN 11 (SUNDAY) begins. It is known as PALM SUNDAY. Jesus enters Jerusalem on a colt, and returns to Bethany (Mark 11:1-11). SUNDAY SUNSET, NISAN 12 (MONDAY) begins. Jesus curses a fig tree, and upon entering Jerusalem, he overturns the tables of the moneychangers, and then leaves the city (Mark 11:12-19). MONDAY SUNSET, NISAN 13 (TUESDAY) begins, and
  15. Well stated, nebula... The holy days do in fact line up perfectly with the events of the New Testament. This is central to the post I plan to add in the near future. God bless. revel
  16. THE FEASTS To conclude this section on the Crucifixion, burial, and Resurrection: If Paul referred to our Lord as
  17. Again, excellent dialogue... I'm enjoying this... The third holy day contained within the Crucifixion and Resurrection time frame is Firstfruits... It speaks of the miracle that took place at the Red Sea... the miracle of the Resurrection... and it speaks of the miracle of our future salvation... and the newness of life that follows. THE FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS After the Israelites reached the shore of the Red Sea, they could see Pharaoh with his chariots pressing toward them. Yet Moses said,
  18. Hello Vickilynn and many thanks for your thoughts. I love this subject... It's why we are... who we are... in Christ!!! THE FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD Christ
  19. To everyone following this: This is an excellent exchange
  20. We as Christ
  21. Many thanks for your heart-felt exchange of thoughts. I enjoyed following the dialogue. There is good fellowship here... This thread
  22. This thread speaks to the following: religious tradition vs. biblical prophecy for the first coming of Christ and our future salvation.... Was Jesus crucified on Friday? Was he resurrected on Sunday morning? How would Jesus answer? What was Christ
  23. Hello Nebula, If this thread... in any manner... hurt your heart... I am sorry. Please know that this thread was not about predicting an earthquake.... or anything of that type... With regard to what you stated: OK, Revel, several years ago, a man was on this board in this thread predicting a major earthquake occuring on a particular day. When it didn't happen, he came back on line and appologized. I respected him for that. Will you do the same? Please? In the opening post, I stated this: "This thread is not about date setting." I apologize not because I predicted anything on this thread... but... if this thread caused you hurt... This thread was about an awareness of how our God marked our salvation, and it was about noteworthy thoughts about this 2007 New Year's Day.... For me... one of the most fascinating elements of God's plan of salvation is how he wove together the heavens (the new moon) and the Scriptures (our future salvation). This... therefore... we know: Christ cannot return "any day".... God
  24. My prayer is that everyone following this understands the personal significance of how our God
  25. Hello 4given1 and nebula, Like you, I find God's Word... and his heavens... to be a place of unending... and fascinating exploration. For me... one of the most fascinating elements of God's plan of salvation is how he wove together the heavens (the new moon) and the Scriptures (our future salvation). This... therefore... we know: Christ cannot return "any day".... God
