  1. If anyone is making the mistake it is you. You are over symbolizing. I'm looking at what the word says, and it says nothing about false religion. This is the mistake people make when it comes to deciphering the prophecies; they have an idea of what they think it is, and set out to bend and twist the scriptures to match their theology. There is no bending and twisting on my part. How do we know who will go when Christ returns? Do you honestly think that everyone in the churches of America will be caught up? I'm sure you don't, but are you able to look at someone and say for sure that they will go? I'm sure you could do that; but what if you had to stake your life on guaranteeing them that they would be caught up, would you do it then? Probably not. This is a problem in American Christianity. People who you think wouldn't be going would probably tell you they are. Everyone wants to believe that they will be going when Christ returns, forgetting that Jesus told His disciples to "pray that in that day that you will be found worthy to stand before the Son of Man". But, do you ever hear any preaching on this topic. Or what about where Jesus says (Matthew 17:21-23) 21
  2. That was my point exactly. It's about the money. Banks are not temples (or churches), and temples and churches are not banks. In the description of Babylon, in Revelation 18:... Revelation 18 The Fall of Babylon the Great 1 After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was illuminated with his glory. 2 And he cried mightily[a] with a loud voice, saying,
  3. The reason no one knows the hour nor the day except the Father, is that the day is not a set appointed date, it is a day of characteristic. Just like when Jesus came, the characteristics of the day were exact to fulfilling His coming. Even so, the days which we are refering to as the end times are (and have been for some time) been ascribing to the characteristics which are desrcirbed in the prophecies. To give you a direct answer to your question, I would say we could expect to see another 20 years before the "antichrist", "the son of perdition" is revealed. I, for one, am watching, not for the antichrist, but rather, for those who are already antichrist, to see who they are drawn to. Everybody has their opinion of how the prophecies are interpreted. Most of everyone agrees with the main stream interpretation; that of there being a one world religion. However, I do not. There is nothing in prophecy that, as far as I can see, describes a one world religion. The mainstream belief is based on there being a "false prophet", and the belief that "the antichrist" will stand in the Holy Place proclaiming himself to be god. This does not necessarily indicate "religion". John said in Revelation, "The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." If you read everything about the "false prophet", you will not find anything specific that has been prophecied by this "false prophet". It is "assumed" that the "false prophet" is prophecying about the anitchrist, but I have a different understanding; which I can't go into right now since I am at work and it would take too much time to go into right now. I have to go back to work. Jeff
  4. A friend of mine, who is a Jewish Christian (or, Completed Jew, as he likes to call himself) explained to me that the nation of Israel is the bride of the Father, and the Church is the bride of Christ. The Father sent the Son to make the way so that both brides could be saved simultaneously. I thought it to be an interesting viewpoint. This brother has a very deep understanding of scripture. His name is Howard Katz from London, Ontario. If you are ever there, you should look him up. He has (or had, it's been a while) a church in his home. He would send me teaching tapes galore, no charge.
  5. You guys are overlooking one thing, in Daniel 11:36-38 36
