I am sorry to hear about your anguish. But after reading these posts, I feel a few things need to be pointed out to you for your prayful consideration.
Let us look at your message about the "unforgivable sin".
"Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come."
[Matthew 12:31-32 - KJV]
Blasphemy against the Holy Spirt is the ONLY unforgivable sin. You can reject Christ, and this is forgivable - Why? Because we are all born of sin and many people rehect Christ for years before ever accepting Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Now, onto the topic os suicide...
All of this goes directly against Matthew 24:13; John 15:1-6; Romans 11:22; 1 Corinthians 15:2; Colossians 1:23; Hebrews 3:6, 14; 12:25; and 1 John 5:4. Committing suicide is not enduring to the end (Matthew 24:13). It is not abiding in Christ (John 15:1-6). It is not continuing in His goodness (Romans 11:22). It is not holding fast the word (1 Corinthians 15:2). It is definitely being moved away from the hope of the gospel (Colossians 1:23). It is not holding fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end (Hebrews 3:6). It is not holding the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end (Hebrews 3:14). It is refusing and turning away from Him who speaks from heaven (Hebrews 12:25). And, it is not overcoming the world (1 John 5:4), but rather being overcome by the world and the devil (1 Peter 5:8; 1 John 5:18).
Some might argue, "What about Samson? He committed suicide." Samson's "suicide" was actually an act of war, as he killed three thousand Philistines in his vengeance upon them (Judges 16:28-30). He died in his effort to kill others, as he said, "Let me die with the Philistines!" (Judges 16:30). It was not, as a typical suicide of our day, because of a lack of hope or depression. He died with the Philistines to "take vengeance on the Philistines" for his two eyes (Judges 16:28). Plus, this was the only choice he had, to kill them as he did.
Suicide is NEVER the answer. Requesting help IS the answer. Additionally - think about your child. Do you want your child to grow up thinking "Wow! Mommy was a Christian and she killed herself!" Nothing like telling your child "I am so depressed that even faith in Christ can't save me from suicide".
Depression can be helped - through therapy and in some cases, medication. Having strong prayer partners to pray through for you and with you is also a necessary element.
I challenge EVERYONE WHO READS THIS THREAD to pray for you as if your life depended on it -- this includes me!
Pray to God - Ask Him to heal this depression and open your eyes to see your life as it once was and as it can be in the arms of Christ. Ask Him to give you the strength to endure and the faith to see it through. Ask Him to bring people into your life to support and stand by you. Ask Christ to lift this burden from you. Christ's yoke is easy!
"For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
[Matthew 11:30 - KJV]
I will pray for you! I pray that other's will do the same! You are worth so much! Don't spend eternity in despair, burning in Hell, forgotten forever, no longer feeling the love of God. How much more horrific will be that despair than what you are experiencing now.
Remember - David was depressed, and yet - God was his power, will, and strength. Do not despair - keep your eyes on Jesus.
As for the rest of us - PRAY PRAY PRAY for this woman!
Get thee behind her Satan for you are a stumbling block to her feet!!!!
