Lessons from A Coat Hanger

Annette

This morning I was listening to a video, where the speaker shared his thoughts on conveniences found in a hotel room.

The speaker shared about the differences, as he had done a fair amount of traveling. He had also stayed in a variety of hotels.

He ended up focusing on the hangers in the hotel room. He shared how bring able to hang some thing up, helps a person feel at home, even if away from home.

Love it when something so simple can mean so much to someone.

Just wondering what is something that others may overlook that means so much to you.

I love the hope a new day, week, month and even year brings.  I love that His mercies are new every morning.

Hi @Annette Interesting how a lesson can be gained from such a seemingly mundane subject.......

True indeed. It is always interesting for me to see posts like that one and see what it is that people notice.

One hotel chain has thick insulated walls between rooms and in the floors that keeps the conversations of the surounding rooms out. Another chain has cookies being baked in the foyer when guest arrive, and that invokes the 'smells of home'.

Of course the last thing I need is cookies, but, the effect is 'homey'.

Thank you so much Ray for taking time to share.  It's great to see what creates an idea of 'home' for each of us.
