  1. One question. Why doesn't he get the money himself? Why does he want you, and only you, to take out a loan? If you're married then so are your finances. A debt for one is a debt for both. (Ok, so that's more than one.) This is confusing to me but I was taught that if I wanted something I had to raise the money myself. The burden was on me and no one else.
  2. Regardless of wether or not astrology is idolatry. (It is BTW.) The government should not be funding it. Our tax dollars should be going to fund the day to day operation of this country and providing for its defense and that's all. These kind of "special intrest" groups are not only immoral they're unconstitutional!!!
  3. I can't honestly say that something like that has ever happened. When I meet someone new at our church I generally treat them as I treat anyone else. With a smile, handshake, and a "Good Morning." Plus, since I don't know any pimps or prostitutes, I wouldn't have a clue as to what they did.
  4. The best advice I can give is to pray. Take this matter to God with your whole heart and mind. He can and will help you if you let Him. God Bless
  5. All of us, even repentant Christians, struggle with sin. It's in our nature. Part of living in a fallen world. We still sin, even as Christians. The trick is to not be characterized by that sin. In your example that person should repent and ask God to protect them from future temptation. If they are sincere the Lord will be faithful to them. Alternatively, they could ask fellow Christians to hold them accountable. As Christians we are not to judge each other but we are to keep each other accountable. Not to pry but is this a general question or are you dealing with a specific issue?
  6. I don't necessarily have a verse to support it but what does the condition of your body matter after you're gone? Is this person telling you that this is an unbiblical practice?
  7. Thanks, I guess the only thing that worries me about going to the public school is that it is a public school. We're looking at a transition period of at least three years. Right now the principals are willing to work with us. Will this be the case for a couple years? I don't know. Maybe I'm just paranoid. As I said the decision is not mine and I'll support our elders with whatever they decide but I don't envy them.
  8. Trust me prayer is not something that is lacking in this decision making process. As I said I am not the one making the decision. That is up to our elders and I will support whatever they decide. I am simply interested in the objective opinions of other Christians.
