    • You know, I see a lot of hate towards Taylor, especially from conservatives and Christians.

And some of it, I can see, she's really got into some satanic stuff once she switched to pop. Which we as Christians should call her out for, but we should also keep in mind she's not alone here, many modern pop stars get into it.

But some stuff is subjective and/or flat out lies, and quickly turns into childish bullying.

For example your implication she has no talent. Ok, you don't like her music so obviously she doesn't have talent.

Yeah, first off that's not true. She's incredibly talented. She's quite literally the conservatives definition of the American dream. She started at the bottom and worked her way to the top, even with everyone telling her she couldn't. She didn't beg for handouts. Her fame came from her talent and hard work.

Now, I don't listen to her anymore. I don't much like pop, and I don't much like the content of most of her newer songs. Though if I hear one of her old country come on, I'll often turn it up. In fact I'd rather listen to her then Elvis in most cases. And Elvis is definitely talented...but a lot of it, just not my type of music.

And it gets worse. I ran into a gal, who claimed Christianity, on Facebook who hated Taylor so much she labeled her a guy, in very explicit terms, and then when I called her out for it proceeded to cuss me out.

Now I realize you didn't do that. But I'm saying this because it escalates, and quite frankly it turns into a online bullying session.

Like her music or hate it, fine. Like or hate her influence on society. But remember she's a human being, created in the image of God, just like you and me, and just like you and me she needs God's grace and forgiveness.

She needs Jesus just as much as we do. Because in the end, no matter how vile she is, we're no better. We are just as vile, sinners deserving of destruction, and only by God's grace are we saved.

    • Recently, I finished a study outline and have been teaching from it over the past 7 weeks during our Church’s Discipleship Training Hour held weekly.  It is an in-depth study of the Armor of God starting with the Belt of Truth and ending with Praying in the Spirit.  I uploaded the pdf so you can print it out, if you prefer.  Feel free to share your own thoughts on any portion of the study.  My Pastor asked for the topic to be taught considering the spiritual warfare that is going on around us today and in recent years.  There is a spiritual battle taking place and believers are under attack!  Why?  Satan hates Jesus and the best way to hurt Jesus is to go after His sheep!  We all need to be suited up in God’s Armor!

Please feel free to comment on a specific part of the study or make a general comment.  Your criticisms are always welcome.  I realize it’s a long study but breaking it up in multiple posts seemed to be too drawn out.  I’ll check back every so often and try to respond to your comments and questions.  In the meantime, I hope it helps you focus on preparing what is most definitely coming our way.  The question is... are you ready for battle?  I inserted a testimony from a friend of mine, a pastor in Uganda.  When you read it, ask yourself... is your faith strong enough to endure persecution to physical death and/or torture?

      Be blessed!

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist on the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore, having belted your waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having strapped on your feet the preparation of the gospel of peace; in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. With every prayer and request, pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be alert with all perseverance and every  request for all the saints, and pray in my behalf, that speech may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.” — Ephesians 6:10-20 NASB

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.

    • Shalom my brothers and sisters,

First of all, welcome to our online fellowship. It's our sincere hope that you enjoy your time on our boards. Recently it occurred to me that a great number of people have come into our online fellowship within the past year or so and perhaps you've never clearly understood how the ministry operates. So I'm writing out in full detail just how the Holy Spirit led me to create a system of checks and balances within the ministry to keep everyone accountable to each other. We have a very open and transparent ministry.

First, a little bit about our moderating team. Every moderator on the boards comes from a completely unique and different background. There's no 2 moderators from the same denomination on the boards. Denominations do not play a part in our moderating style because our focus is not on denomination differences but rather our common bond in our Lord and Savior Jesus!

So if you see a thread being pulled or yanked, it's not being pulled or yanked because of a difference in theology, but rather a problem with the spirit of the thread. Of course differences are going to be expressed in any discussion -- but how these differences are voiced is the reasoning for any thread being shut down.

    • Jonah: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 1
      Shalom everyone,

I thought I would do a series of teachings on the parallels on one of the most "prophesied" event in the Old Testament -- and the focus of the New Testament authors -- the Resurrection.

Most people have never examined how many stories are directly connected to the most historic and earth changing event in the history of the world -- the resurrection.

I will begin with the sign of Jonah and continue this series showing how many "pictures" of the resurrection are throughout the Scriptures.

Jonah is laid out in a chiastic structure, which means that it a story that is laid out in a fashion where the story is unveiled -- then its central theme is identified -- then un-wrapped the same way it was originally wrapped.

    • Worthy Experiment!

Hello my brothers and sisters in the Lord,

Most people don't realize the radical experiment we are doing here! I want you to imagine yourself -- hundreds of years ago -- when all the different denominations were starting! While everyone was insisting their beliefs were the "only" correct way to worship God -- they were creating more and more splits and divisions!

What we are trying to do at Worthy Boards is unheard of when you think about it! We are trying to unify the body -- while at the same time protect those fundamental truths that we can all agree with -- the need for salvation through Jesus -- the source of truth for living the Christian life found within the Bible. Read our Statement of faith! This experiment hasn't happened before when you really consider it!

Of course, there's the ecumenical movement -- unity for the sake of doctrinal compromises! I'm sorry, but the fundamental doctrines of the faith can't be compromised.

    • Deeper Understandings of the Message of the Kingdom

      Shalom everyone,

I'm actually surprised that I've never done a topic on the Kingdom of God.

To really dive into the message of the Kingdom, you have to understand that it was the ENTIRE message preached by Yeshua (Jesus).  While many focus on "salvation" and while this is the ENTRANCE into the Kingdom -- the salvation message, is just the beginning of the bigger message that Yeshua was preaching!   When you realize that Acts begins and ends with the Kingdom Message, perhaps we should dive deeper into the understandings.

Acts 1:6  When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

Acts 28:31  Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.

So this is what this discussion is going to talk about -- the message of the Kingdom.

Your brother in the Lord with much agape love,

      George
