  1. This is a very interesting question. The Bible says forgive others and God will forgive you. If you do not forgive others how can we expect God to forgive us? The Bible also says honor thy father and mother. It doesn't say honor thy father and mother only if they are good parents. IMO no matter what the parents have done, the child should forgive and honor them as the Bible teaches. You never know that if a child does this what an example it could be to their parents, and with Gods help it could lead lost parents to accepting Jesus Christ as their Savior. You just never know.

  2. I agree with the person who post that you don't have to be in church to accept Jesus Christ. People have been saved in prisons etc. I do feel that Christians need to meet during the week to study and learn about God's word. We need to be spiritually fed, to be recharged so to speak, for the Lord. We need each other for encouragement, fellowship etc. I look forward to going to church on Sunday teaching my class and and hearing the words that God has laid on my pastor's heart and it's always something that I need to hear, and again going Sunday evening to hear our pastor preach from God's word. I have learned a lot on Wednesday night during the adult Bible study. Praise the Lord, thank you Jesus! When I miss a church service something is missing. I don't like to miss but sometimes things come up and you can't be there all the time. Hope everyone has a blessed day in the Lord!

  3. Gore and crew came up with a wonderful scam with the whole "carbon credit" thing, didn't they? They blew themselves out of the water the first time that phrase was uttered. It became a money scam, not about the environment.

You are right walla! Gore did come up with this scam! didn't he win something like the pulizer prize for this global warming thing? What a joke! You know Al Gore claims he invented the internet also! I heard on Fox news the other day on Glenn Beck, about the snow in Minnesota or Montana and he said where is the global warming there? It was the first of this month or last month that it snowed 12 inches up there. Global warming? :emot-hug::thumbsup:

  4. Both situations are sad! You know I hear this all the time, that things like this would never happen in our town or our state but it does. They have had the parents of the soldier who got killed on the news and they are in my prayers as well as the soldier who is was injured in that shooting. The terrorist said if there had been more military in the parking lot he would have shot them also. They found where he had plans to hit other places as well. Glad they caught the guy. Things like this will only get worse, and it can happen anywhere. Terrorists don't care where they kill or who they kill. God help us!

  5. obama said that Iran has the right to have nuclear energy. :( does he not know Iran isn't going to use nuclear power for energy, that it will be used to destroy Israel and the U.S.? Well, he says one thing, and does another. I don't trust the man as far as I could throw him.

  6. :emot-questioned:

    Prayers that jaundice gets healed.

Thank you for your prayers nebula. Yes, I don't think it will be long before the jaundice is gone. God will take care of it. Evan's big sister had it when she was born, and they had to lay her in some kind of machine. She had it worse than baby brother. God bless.

  7. Does anyone beside me notice this? :noidea: :noidea:

Yes, plenty of us notice it. Just satan, doing what he always does, and people fall for it.

I don't think people are really aware of the price they are going to pay, eventually, for not loving and standing with Israel.

I agree with you that people don't realize what God said concerning Israel. Those who curse you will be cursed, and those who bless you will be blessed. We need to stand with Israel no matter what the rest of the world thinks about us. God bless!

  8. Did anyone hear about a preacher and his wife having Bible studies in their home, and they were told they couldn't have Bible study in their home anymore. My aunt sent the email to me about this. Here is the article. This is crazy!!!

San Diego County officials shut down home Bible study

County official interrogates pastor and his wife

    May 28, 2009

    Dear Nick,

A San Diego pastor and his wife have been told they cannot have a Bible study in their home. The couple says they were interrogated by a San Diego County official, then threatened with ever increasing fines if they refuse to stop the Bible study. (See news article here)

According to the couple's attorney, they were questioned about the Bible study. "'Do you have a regular meeting in your home?" The pastor's wife replied, "Yes." "Do you say 'amen'?" the official asked. "Yes," she replied. "Do you pray?" Again she said, "Yes." "Do you say 'praise the Lord'?" Another "Yes." The official told the pastor and his wife they were in violation of county rules.

The Bible study usually has an average of about 15 people.

A few days later they got a written warning that listed the home Bible study an "unlawful use of land." They were notified to "stop religious assembly or apply for a major use permit," which could cost them thousands of dollars.

Could a small poetry club meet regularly in a home? Apparently, yes. What about a Cub Scout meeting? Evidently, yes. What if they meet regularly to watch Monday Night Football? Obviously, yes.

    Take Action!

  9. Thanks everyone! God bless you all. I called my nephew Thursday after we were up there visiting with them at the hospital on Wednesday and they had just got home from the hospital. Evan has jaundice, not bad, and other than that he and his mom are doing just fine. Thank you Jesus! They have to lay him in the sunlight for 30 minutes at a time 2 or 3 times a day. Children are a gift and a blessing from God!

  10. I don't know if this is the right place to announce this or not, but my husband and I have a new great nephew, Evan. He was born today around 6pm. Mother and son are doing fine. Thank you Jesus. God Bless!

  11. i have wondered about a few movies that i havent seen .

    Star trek-

    Jumpers-

Hes just not that into you-

Plus are there any new movies that didnt get much press that were really good. I like all kinds of movies i really like movies that inspire and motivate me.

    Anyone got any ideas?

Anybody watched "Fireproof"? I just finished watching it,its a very good movie!!!!!!!!

Hi Angels4u, I haven't seen Fireproof yet, but everyone that I've talked to that has seen it said it was a very good movie. I can't wait to see it. Have you seen Flywheel, and Facing the Giants? Those are good movies to.

  12. "Thirty-seven percent say they have a favorable opinion of Cheney, up eight points from January when he left office."

My belief, based on past history, is that the Presidency and administration of President George Bush will go down as one the most successful administrations in regards to foreign policy and defending the United States from attacks from within and abroad...the primary responsibility of a sitting President.

How long it will take will be determined by when and the intensity of the next terrorist attack on our soil. I have no doubt that one or more of the many terrorists released from Guantanamo Bay will be involved and will reflect negatively on the current administration that released them and propel GW and Dick Cheney to a favorable record.

Just an opinion for the record. :runforhills:

I agree with your opinion! I'm just glad there are a few left with the courage to stand up and take on the current administration in matters of survival. I won't even address all the other rogue, illegal, and Unconstitutional actions of the current administration - just security. Dick Cheney is a man of maturity, courage, and reason. In comparison, the Obama Administration is playing in a sandbox.

    nChrist

I agree with both of you. Obama has a very large sandbox to play in and he's got sand in his eyes!

  13. Praise the Lord, thank you Jesus. To make a long story short, my sister and I joined a new church in 2007 and we love it there. My husband started going with me on Wednesday night, then started going Sunday night. I prayed along with some church members that he would start coming to the Sunday morning service. He went Easter Sunday and was sitting in the auditorium and one of our friends came over and asked Norman, my husband, to go with him. He started going to Sunday school. He's been going ever since and he loves it there to. My husband is a Christian and he went to church with me on Sunday morning a few years ago, and he stopped going, until now. Thanks you Jesus!
