  1. Warrior - A for almost... Adstar - you are even closer (but it is QRR - not QPR - unless you know something that I do not... ) This was immediately followed by by a quote from Micah 7:6. The purpose of Jesus to say this becomes a little clearer...try again.
  2. Genesis 1:24 has animals first Genesis 2:18,19 has man first Ready, set.....go!
  3. To any who reads after this - know this... RC is correct and wins - I will add a new thread about the twelve tribes, later. I will leave you with a silver bullet, RC... :thumb:
  4. So far, everyone gets a N/C as a grade - if you say that they sinned at the same time, then you are not basing their spiritual condition on a watch or calendar - you must then say that creation did not occur according to a watch or calendar - you must then say that salvation is not based upon a watch or calendar - or are you merely making your idea fit when you can't understand it any other way? Please do not close your eyes and hope it all goes away.
  5. Perhaps a symbolic title of those who Jesus chose? O but that is such a tease - because right afterwards he talks of more than 500 - so would he change his mode from using an ordinal number to using a cardinal number (not grammatically clean according to English syntax?) Add one more thought - is there a parallel to these twelve and the twelve tribes of Israel? (remember Levi and Joseph)...
  6. hey Traveller - let's just bury the hatchet and not make any more cutting remarks... anyway - I don't see "poor" here, but they were growing in size - I see where you can pull a prosperity message - - but I don't see how it applies today unless you say that God will always miraculously provide for what you borrowed. Why a stick thrown in to make the iron float? Why the method in verse 7? I know I'm seeming to draw at straws, but there's always more than just a fishing expedition when you search the Scriptures.
  7. If we are talking about fathering, we see recorded that Abraham had more than 2 (Genesis 25:2) - if we talk about promises, then he only had one - Isaac - and if we talk legally, he had sent Ishmael away at the time of offering Isaac, and so it depends on when you are speaking.
  8. In context, 'their' is children - my question is if this is guardian angels specifically designed for such a task on a one-to-one basis or a group of angels meant for such duties or something else?
  9. We can see a prophetic stance here, but why would Jesus say that he did not come to bring peace?
  10. I was serious, but I suppose far too vague for you. Ephesians 2:12 - for the "unbeliever" they have no God in the world - the answer to them is that they cannot see God. When and if they become believers, then they can only see God through the Word - Hebrews 4:12 - 16 with the hope of seeing God face to face - 1 Corinthians 13:12.
  11. Remember, Judas hung himself and Matthias had not yet been chosen.
  12. I have a better response, but until then all I can say is thank you RC for your pleasant answer.
  13. We are to walk by faith and not by sight. Yes, I have seen God and No, I have not seen God.
  14. C.D. sounds as though he is speaking from personal experiences - yes, people can be cruel and the Lord does not want us to stencil the word WELCOME on our backs. However, I don't think this situation applies. tjw had some very good words to remind you that the church is more than just the pastor and just the elders. I think you should stand still and allow the Lord to fight your battles. Yet, why should there be a battle within a church. You would do better to resign than to be the cause of political conflict - James 3:15. Ministry is determined by God not by experience on a job application.
  15. That is the all to which I referred.
