    Worthy Experiment!

Most people don't realize the radical experiment we are doing here! I want you to imagine yourself -- hundreds of years ago -- when all the different denominations were starting! While everyone was insisting their beliefs were the "only" correct way to worship God -- they were creating more and more splits and divisions!

What we are trying to do at Worthy Boards is unheard of when you think about it! We are trying to unify the body -- while at the same time protect those fundamental truths that we can all agree with -- the need for salvation through Jesus -- the source for truth for living the Christian life found within the Bible. Read our Statement of faith! This experiment hasn't happened before when you really consider it!

  1. Why do people hate Paul Washer?

The following is Paul Washer’s account of the early history of the HeartCry Missionary Society. How It All Began Many years ago, while I was serving as a missionary in Peru, I was an eyewitness to the great advancement of the Gospel through many indigenous workers and in spite of their severe poverty. For this reason, I began to pray and search the Scriptures regarding my proper response to such choice servants and their need. In III John 1:5-8, I found a compelling admonition: “Beloved, you are acting faithfully in whatever you accomplish for the brethren, and especially when they are strangers; and they have testified to your love before the church. You will do well to send them on their way in a manner worthy of God. For they went out for the sake of the Name, accepting nothing from the Gentiles. Therefore we ought to support such men, so that we may be fellow workers with the truth." As I read through this passage, I began to ask myself how it should be applied. Should North Americans send only North American missionaries on their way in a manner worthy of God? Is it biblical for Christians in developed countries to help indigenous missionaries in less developed areas of the world? Should our abundance be used to help them minister in the midst of their poverty? http://www.heartcrymissionary.com/our-history

  3. Are You?

Are You Too Good, Too Afraid, Too Rich Or Just Too Stubborn For Jesus? One Man's Look At THE Question For All Reasons Question: "Why do people reject Jesus as their Savior?" Answer: The decision to accept or reject Jesus as Savior is the ultimate life decision. Why do many people choose to reject Jesus as Savior? There are perhaps as many different reasons for rejecting Christ as there are people who reject Him, but the following four reasons can serve as general categories: 1) Some people do not think they need a savior. These people consider themselves to be “basically good” and do not realize that they, like all people, are sinners who cannot come to God on their own terms. But Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). Those who reject Christ will not be able to stand before God and successfully plead their own case on their own merits. 2) The fear of social rejection or persecution deters some people from receiving Christ as Savior. The unbelievers in John 12:42-43 would not confess Christ because they were more concerned with their status among their peers than doing God’s will. These were the Pharisees whose love of position and the esteem of others blinded them, “for they loved the approval of men rather than the approval of God.” 3) For some people, the things that the present world has to offer are more appealing than eternal things. We read the story of such a man in Matthew 19:16-23. This man was not willing to lose his earthly possessions in order to gain an eternal relationship with Jesus (see also 2 Corinthians 4:16-18). 4) Many people are simply resisting the Holy Spirit’s attempts to draw them to faith in Christ. Stephen, a leader in the early church, told those who were about to murder him, “You stiff-necked people, with uncircumcised hearts and ears! You are just like your fathers: You always resist the Holy Spirit!” (Acts 7:51). The apostle Paul made a similar statement to a group of gospel rejecters in Acts 28:23-27. Whatever the reasons why people reject Jesus Christ, their rejection has disastrous eternal consequences. “There is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved” than the name of Jesus (Acts 4:12), and those who reject Him, for whatever reason, face an eternity in the “outer darkness” of hell where there will be “weeping and gnashing of teeth” (Matthew 25:30). https://www.gotquestions.org/QOTW.htm What Is Your Reason To Turn Away From Your Savior? The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. Jeremiah 31:3 What Do You Think?
  4. Jesus Return to Jerusalem (No Uncertain Terms)

Way But Yeshua was prepared to go up to Jerusalem and he took aside his twelve disciples privately on the road and he said to them: "Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and The Son of Man will be delivered to the Chief Priests and to the Scribes and they will condemn him to death. And they will deliver him to Gentiles, and they will mock him, and they will scourge him, and they will crucify him, and the third day he will arise." Matthew 20:17-19 (Aramaic Bible in Plain English) Too Late Then the governor's soldiers took Jesus into the palace and gathered the whole troop around him. They took off his clothes and put a bright red cape on him. They twisted some thorns into a crown, placed it on his head, and put a stick in his right hand. They knelt in front of him and made fun of him by saying, "Long live the king of the Jews!" After they had spit on him, they took the stick and kept hitting him on the head with it. After the soldiers finished making fun of Jesus, they took off the cape and put his own clothes back on him. Then they led him away to crucify him. On the way they found a man named Simon. He was from the city of Cyrene. The soldiers forced him to carry Jesus' cross. They came to a place called Golgotha (which means "the place of the skull"). They gave him a drink of wine mixed with a drug called gall. When he tasted it, he refused to drink it. After they had crucified him, they divided his clothes among themselves by throwing dice. Then they sat there and kept watch over him. They placed a written accusation above his head. It read, "This is Jesus, the king of the Jews." Matthew 27::27-37 (GOD'S WORD® Translation) Jesus IS Resurrected When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so they could go and anoint Jesus’ body. Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they went to the tomb. They were asking one another, “Who will roll away the stone from the entrance of the tomb?” But when they looked up, they saw that the stone had been rolled away, even though it was extremely large. When they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed. But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here! See the place where they laid Him. But go, tell His disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see Him, just as He told you.’” So they left the tomb and ran away, overwhelmed with shock and amazement. And in their fear they did not say a word to anyone. Mark 16:1-8 (Berean Study Bible) And Sitting At The Right Hand Of His Father So when the apostles were with Jesus, they kept asking him, “Lord, has the time come for you to free Israel and restore our kingdom?” He replied, “The Father alone has the authority to set those dates and times, and they are not for you to know. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” After saying this, he was taken up into a cloud while they were watching, and they could no longer see him. 0As they strained to see him rising into heaven, two white-robed men suddenly stood among them. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why are you standing here staring into heaven? Jesus has been taken from you into heaven, but someday he will return from heaven in the same way you saw him go!” Acts 1:6-11 ( New Living Translation) And He Will Return To Jerusalem (Look! He is returning with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all the tribes on the earth will mourn because of him. This will certainly come to pass! Amen.) Revelation 1:7 (NET Bible) When His Israel Turns I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offense, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early. Hosea 5:15 (American King James Version) To Him Sing, daughter of Zion. Shout, Israel. Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, daughter of Jerusalem. The LORD has taken away your judgments. He has thrown out your enemy. The King of Israel, the LORD, is in the midst of you. You will not be afraid of evil any more. In that day, it will be said to Jerusalem, "Do not be afraid, Zion. Do not let your hands be weak." The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save. He will rejoice over you with joy. He will calm you in his love. He will rejoice over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:14-17 ~ Be Blessed Beloved Of The KING The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them. Numbers 6:24-27 (King James Bible) Love, Your Brother Joe ~ Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever. Psalms 119:160 (King James Bible) The Bible contains the mind of God, the state of man, the way of salvation, the doom of sinners, and the happiness of believers. Its doctrines are holy, its precepts are binding, its histories are true, and its decisions are immutable. Read it to be wise, believe it to be safe, and practice it to be holy. It contains light to direct you, food to support you, and comfort to cheer you. It is the traveler’s map, the pilgrim’s staff, the pilot’s compass, the soldier’s sword and the Christian’s charter. 8. The "Aramaic Bible in Plain English" translation

It's One Of My Favorite Translations For God loved the world in this way: so much that he would give up his Son, The Only One, so that everyone who trusts in him shall not be lost, but he shall have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world that he would condemn the world, but that he would give life to the world by him. Whoever believes in him is not judged, and whoever does not believe is judged already, because he does not believe in The Name of The Only Begotten Son of God. This is the judgment: The Light has come into the world and the children of men loved the darkness more than The Light, because their works were evil. For everyone who does what is hateful, hates The Light and does not come to The Light, lest his works should be convicted. But he who does The Truth comes to The Light, so that his works may be revealed, that they are performed by God." After these things, Yeshua and his disciples came to the land of Judea, and he was employed there with them and he baptized. But Yohannan was also baptizing in Ainyon next to Shalim, because there was water there, and many were coming and were baptized. For Yohannan had not yet gone to prison. John 3:6-24 ( Aramaic Bible in Plain English) Others, Not So Much George M. Lamsa, Th.D., a native Assyrian, renowned scholar of the Scriptures, lecturer and author, F.R.S.A., was born August 5, 1892, in a civilization with customs, manners, and language almost identical to those in the time of Jesus. His native tongue was full of similar idioms and parables, untouched by the outside world in 1900. Until World War I, his people living in that part of ancient Biblical lands which today is known as Kurdistan, in the basin of the rivers Tigris and Euphrates, retained the simple nomadic life as in the days of the Patriarchs. Only at the beginning of the 20th century did this isolated segment of the once great Assyrian Empire learn of the discovery of America and the Reformation in Germany. Likewise, until that same time, this ancient culture of early Christians was unknown to the western world, and the Aramaic (Syriac) language was thought to be dead. But in this so-called "Cradle of Civilization," ancient Biblical customs and Semitic culture, cut off from the world, were preserved. Lamsa's primary training as a boy was to tend the lambs. But, as the first-born son in his family, while yet an infant he was dedicated to God by his devout mother. Years after her death, when Lamsa was 12, her vow was renewed by native tribesmen, an ox killed and its blood rubbed on his head. This vow to God, Lamsa claimed, had always been part of him. "God's Hand,"he affirmed, "has been steadfastly on my shoulder, guiding me in His Work." Lamsa's formal studies began under the priests and deacons of the ancient Church of the East. Later he graduated with the highest honors ever bestowed from the Archbishop of Canterbury's Colleges in Iran and in Turkey, with the degree of Bachelor of Arts. Lamsa never married, but dedicated his life to "God's Calling." At the beginning of World War I, when Turkey started invasions, Lamsa was forced to flee the Imperial University at Constantinople, where he was studying, and went to South America. Living was hard during those years; he knew but three words in Spanish - water, work and bread. As best he could he existed - in the British Merchant Marine for a time, then working on railroads, in mines, and later in printing shops, a trade he had learned in college. After arriving in the United States, in his early 20's, Lamsa by day worked as a printer, and by night went to school. He later studied at the Episcopal Theological Seminary in Alexandria, Virginia, and at Dropsie College in Philadelphia. It was through his struggles with the idioms of English, during these years, that Lamsa gradually launched in his "life's work" of translating the Scriptures from Aramaic into English. Yet many years were to pass before the world received his translations.... http://www.noohra.com/Index.pl?glamsabio And I Count Dr. George Lamsa As A Dear Brother In The LORD Yohannan said to him, "Rabbi, we saw a man casting out demons in your name, and we forbade him because he did not go out with us." Yeshua said to them, "Do not forbid him, for there is no man who does a powerful work in my name and can soon speak badly about me." "Whoever therefore is not against you is for you." "But everyone who will give you only a cup of water to drink in THE NAME because you are one who belongs to The Messiah, amen, I say to you, he shall not lose his reward."
