  1. Some examples are evident for instance Mark 9:43 If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having two hands, to go to hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched.

Obviously this verse should not be taken literally but figuratively.

A simile is a comparison by use of the words "like" or "as

  2. Hi everyone, I work at mental health facility and there are a lot of people -including kids- admitted for psychosis. The voices they hear tell them to kill themselves and others. They are giving anti-psychotic medication and discharged after they no longer hear voices.

Does anybody have any information on psychosis? I'm simply ignorant regardings this illness. Is it a demonic presence or can a person really get ill like this?

    Thank you in advance, guys!

    Chiquita

I think it can be demonic and just an illness.

  3. The scriptures don't give us a specific reaason why. Paul in retrospect said this:

And Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and transgressed.

    (1Timothy 2:14 HCSB)

My observation is that in general women will be convinced they are doing the right thing (even when it is wrong). Men on the other hand will know what they are doing is wrong and not care.

Because she was deceived - Lucinda

Oh I begged you not to go there. Here we goooo......

Satan is a deceiver and the weak in faith will fall for him. Eve fell, so did Adam. They both yielded to temptation.
