  1. Hi, I'm a new one....and thought I'd put in my thoughts. I love Galatians...especially Gal. 5:16-23. This topic reminds me of how light extinguishes darkness....as in vs. 16 "So, I advise you to live according to your new life in the Holy Spirit, then you won't be doing what your sinful nature craves." Then when I read Romans 13:10 which says that "Love does no wrong to anyone..." it helps me see that when I love, for instance.....which is the 1st fruit of the Spirit.....then that loving will naturally begin extinguishing the flesh's sinning. Because I cannot agape-love someone and want to harm them at the same time....as goes the principle; light drowns out the dark.
  2. I was attracted by your title. Good one! I can see how that much of the church has lost it's spiritualness (if this is even a word . And the bible is read and critiqued like a book with no underlying spiritual meaning by carnal minds...and faith in a new nature is at least 2nd to having a form of religion. God Bless, Ivanette
  3. I think it was merely a clarification....as some of the newer translations endeavor to do. To state something that is there, but state it more clearly for easier and more understanding when reading.
