Since my grandmother was hospitalized because of her UTI last July 19, I've been real busy, and then sick with cold, that I've temporarily lost interest in these forums.

And there's been also that whispering from the enemy that I do not really belong here....

And today, while I was browsing some of the forums, I've felt the need to say something. But what...?

So I just post this topic here in this Praise forum....

I just want to praise and thank God for this blessed community of Christians....

I just want to dispel this doubt that the enemy is trying to plant in my heart....

And I just want to believe that in this community... I am home.

I often struggle with the voices that tell me that I am not welcome or don't belong here and indeed in the chat room(s) and if we are being real and/or honest about it sometimes the welcome we get or don't get and the way others can talk to us feed into those thoughts.

For all I know they could be right but the question is not where we think or others think we belong but where God would have us be.

So I encourage you to keep fighting the thoughts that are negative and I would like you to know that I for one will be praying for you.

I know this is going to sound soppy perhaps, but one way of thanking Him is to bless His children

Sending a message or a text or a card or letter to someone and just sharing that you feel blessed can be a real encouragement to folk.

Often that very message or text or card or letter will lift their spirit and bless them also and very often at a time when they truly need it.

Just a thought.

I guess for me I approach it from a slightly different angle.

I fully accept what has been said about having both an attitude and indeed a life that confirm it as being wrong, but I am also mindful that some battles take much longer to fight and indeed that a great many attacks and condemnations seemingly come from within oneself.

I fear we are far too quick to condemn the sinner and the sin sometimes.

Just my thoughts on the matter.

Is not the church meant to be a family?

As a family we are indeed made up of many different members and each with our own perspectives and when we focus on those perspectives and trying to argue and defend them then we automatically separate ourselves.

How much more productive would it be to instead of arguing our own perspectives, doctrines, focuses et al, we simply gather together to discuss and learn His ways, His will and His nature.

Just a thought.

Now I'm not saying that some of us have the Lord and others do not. But the principal here is that our primary need is to cherish the Lord's present appearing. It is the by Lord's present appearing, not His future appearance, that we receive the crown of righteousness. Those who cherish the Lord's present appearing will certainly be prepared for his future appearance.

I think additionally so many times we look to see how God is going to use current situations. But God is looking to see if we are willing to be used in them.
