  1. This is true. At least it is for me. As much as I believe, there's still that tiny inkling of doubt. "What if it doesn't work?" When Peter started sinking as he was walking on the water, the first thing Jesus said was, "Why did you doubt?" Doubt plays a major role in what we can and cannot accomplish. The Lord has answered many of my prayers and He has shown me time and time again that He is with me, but I just can't seem to be able to shake that feeling. I don't believe the Lord holds things like that against us. If He did, He would have left me long ago. So true, I've been programed by this world for 50 years. It takes a constant renewing of the mind. We have to make the spiritual world more real than the physical. We have to take scripture to heart. I believe this set of teaching might add to your knowledge of faith. I positive it will bless you. http://www.awmi.net/extra/audio/1046 Keep up the good fight and God Bless you.
  2. I feel we are insecure in our beliefs about God. Here is another excuse why we shouldn't step out in faith as the bible commanded. Quote " His WOFer beliefs destroy the faith of those who follow his teachings when they are not healed by speaking to the problem." If it destroys the faith was there faith to begin with? I believe ALL the scriptures are the word of God. I'm not going to try to out think God why he healed someone or not. It's not my place to question God or make excuses for God. He just commanded me, and I'm going to be a good little troop and follow his commands! To the best of my ability for the Glory of GOD! It took me awhile to battle satan and the thoughts, to just go up to someone and ask them if I can pray for them. I found the truth is: if I wasn't so self centered and worried about myself I would have done it the first day. (satan says; what if it don't work what will they think of me, I'm embarrassed, who am I to pray for a stranger. It took weeks of study and renewing my mind to see that God wants us to do it. Joshua-777 spoke the truth about Love. Love is the key! If we loved others more than ourselves the things of God won't be hard to do. It would not be hard to step out in faith and pray for someone.God is love! If we can't forgive and love all than how can we walk with God? Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, unless they are agreed? You have to crucify your flesh or our carnal self (see, taste, feel hear, smell) for others as Jesus did. I believe everything I pray for is given to me in the spiritual realm. When it manifests into the physical Praise God, if it doesn't I'll know in the end why. God Bless all.
  3. Onelight, You can look at an u tube video or hear someone make a comment about a teacher and base your decision on somebody? You won't even look at the evidence for your self http://www.awmi.net/extra/audio/1057. That tells me a lot about you and I question your ability to minister other Christians such as myself. Pharisee of Pharisee. You know God loves you and I love you even though you bare false witness. I was studying John in this forum and came to chapter four and I saw it was your post. I didn't want to read it because knowing that you are narrow minded. I read your teaching anyway just to prove that things can be taken out of context.oh, by the way are you a false teacher? I quote " Throughout the Gospels, we will see Jesus making this claim. We can also read that living by faith, not signs and wonders, is what we are called to do, which is the point Jesus was trying to make." Acts 14:2-4 (New Living Translation) 2 Some of the Jews, however, spurned God's message and poisoned the minds of the Gentiles against Paul and Barnabas. 3 But the apostles stayed there a long time, preaching boldly about the grace of the Lord. And the Lord proved their message was true by giving them power to do miraculous signs and wonders. 4 But the people of the town were divided in their opinion about them. Some sided with the Jews, and some with the apostles. I can see that your interpretation of scripture is in err.(edit) I read your teaching and understand what your message said in context!. Anything can be taken out of context if you don't hear the whole story. Watch the different news organizations lately? what is God telling us to do in Faith. I challenge you to study faith and God's commands. Onelight, reading your posts I sense doubt and unbelief or excuses why we can't do it today.
  4. When we are taken over by an agenda so strongly that the whole council of God is ignored we will be off balance and in danger of falling. Thank you for your concern .... but I am a person for whom Christ died and have opened my heart unto Him as Lord not a theological agenda to prove points of I'm right and your wrong! For you see I believe we are a people brought unto this glory as unto The Son in these last days for a purpose... and that we should not desire a sign in order to believe but on His Word alone, through faith, as spoken of here James 5:9-11 9 Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned. Behold, the Judge is standing at the door! 10 My brethren, take the prophets, who spoke in the name of the Lord, as an example of suffering and patience. 11 Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord
  5. Steven I'll pray to God and ask for him to send someone to lay hands on you. Scriptures are commanding us as disciples to do things and we call to God to do it for us. God's spirit works thru us. Want to understand more about spirituality. http://www.awmi.net/extra/audio/1057 I guess it's true that believers don't usually let scriptures get in the way of what they believe. Even when it's staring them in the face. John 14 12 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. All believers will do the same works that Jesus did; it's not limited to ministers. There's just a shortage of believing believers. Matthew 17 20 So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief;[a] for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. Mark 16 14 Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. 15 And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they[b] will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."
  6. How much? It's Andrew Wommack and all his stuff is free. http://www.awmi.net/extra/audio/1017
  7. Praise GOD! if you read scriptures we have God's raising from the dead power within us "Holy Spirit'. We are so far removed from the spiritual realm, that we don't even believe we have it today. Satan has got us deceived or we are so carnal that we can't understand any thing other than what we see, taste, see, smell or hear! Do you believe this? Jesus heals today, have faith! In the Great Commission, Jesus encouraged all believers to heal the sick. Mark 16:15-18, KJV And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
  8. television ministers are not the only ones who can operate in this miraculous power of God! Praise God for the true men and women of God on television, but Jesus said that believers will lay hands on the sick, and the sick will recover (Mark 16:18). The job of the minister is to train the body of Christ so that they can do the work of the ministry (Eph. 4:11-12). The day of the one-man show in the body of Christ needs to come to an end, and we
  9. Ah, so Creation is just set up to look really old in order to fool us? You can't really believe that God would give us brains capable of understanding the universe only in order to test our faith by making that universe a lie, can you? Are you sure you have really thought that through? Lurker Take a look at this website. http://www.clarifyingchristianity.com/science.shtml Consider the age of the writers and should they have this knowledge.
  10. So true, I think it's a good thing we isolate ourselves from the crap that's on TV. The enemy uses it to harden our hearts toward God. Our hearts get hardened when we focus on the natural and not God. Sit at the TV and take your thoughts captive. Even the news is poison spreads fear, distrust, anger etc... 2 Corinthians 10:5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
