  1. how do you know that quote is true?
  2. Of course chaos can produce order, if energy is added. Just take a look at the evolution of life!
  3. I don't think stephen hawking is trying to lead any of us to believe that his statement was one of scientific fact, necessarily. Also, Ray Comfort is, as usual, largely incorrect here. First, one presumes that the laws of physics exist before the creation of the universe. as to how the laws of physics got there, we have no idea, and Hawking does not presume to know. He merely states that God is not a necessity when hypothesizing as to how the universe came about. Also, the existence of a law only implies a lawgiver in the minds of creationists: it is not an objective truth.

    "It's Magic"

Eh... I think that perhaps the article is misinterpreting what this scientist is saying. I'm pretty sure that "like magic" thing gives off a sillier air than she intended, and if not she's just wrong. It is rather interesting, though, how quickly organisms can develop new features. Either way, this is hardly evidence of a faulty theory of evolution. The theory of evolution is established fact, so it's sort of embarrassing oneself to try and disprove it. Might as well try to disprove gravity.
  5. So, I think it's unreasonable to call their actions 'brain surgery.' It is a commonly known thing that ancient cultures would attempt to cure people of illnesses by drilling holes in their skulls so that some evil spirits could be let out.
