Changed Lives In the months following Halloween, we received 236 letters from children whose lives have been impacted for Christ due to Halloween tracts that you faithfully handed out at your doors. Here is just one: Dear Good News Publishers, I'm 14 years old. Yes, I have asked God into my life, and now I am very happy! I was very surprised and happy when I got your Halloween Word Game out of my trick-or-treat bag. I asked the Lord into my heart.... The other night I prayed to God before opening my Bible and asked Him to help me understand His word. And I did! I was so happy and thankful! Love, Alisha http://www.gnpcb.org/page/stgn0102/

I floors me that people would object to witnessing to the Lord Jesus Christ in any manner possible.

This is still one of the days the Lord created.

Only diream I can deem as spiritural a few years back as a young Christian I dreamed I was on a stage something like old high school plays were cast on.

I Guess since I have only used the KJV, and not seen a Bible with the Apocrypha?

Nelson's New Illustrated Bible Dictionary says the following about Melchizedek: A king of Salem (Jerusalem) and priest of the Most High God (Gen. 14:18-20; Ps. 110:4; Heb. 5:6-11; 6:20-7:28). Melchizedek's appearance and disappearance in the Book of Genesis are somewhat mysterious. Melchizedek and Abraham first met after Abraham's defeat of Chedorlaomer and his three allies. Melchizedek presented bread and wine to Abraham and his weary men, demonstrating friendship and religious kinship. He bestowed a blessing on Abraham in the name of El Elyon ("God Most High"), and praised God for giving Abraham a victory in battle (Gen. 14:18-20). Abraham presented Melchizedek with a tithe (a tenth) of all the booty he had gathered. By this act Abraham indicated that he recognized Melchizedek as a fellow-worshiper of the one true God as well as a priest who ranked higher spiritually than himself. Melchizedek's existence shows that there were people other than Abraham and his family who served the true God. In Psalm 110, a messianic psalm written by David (Matt. 22:43), Melchizedek is seen as a type of Christ. This theme is repeated in the Book of Hebrews, where both Melchizedek and Christ are considered kings of righteousness and peace. By citing Melchizedek and his unique priesthood as a type, the writer shows that Christ's new priesthood is superior to the old Levitical order and the priesthood of Aaron (Heb. 7:1-10; Melchisedec, KJV). Attempts have been made to identify Melchizedek as . . . an angel, the Holy Spirit, Christ, and others. All are the products of speculation, not historical fact; and it is impossible to reconcile them with the theological argument of Hebrews. Melchizedek was a real, historical king-priest who served as a type for the greater King-Priest who was to come, Jesus Christ (p. 819).

Here is an article I found that explains it to me!? Is the Bible a sole rule of faith (sola scriptura)?

Jam 4:11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge. Jam 4:12 There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another? Jam 4:13 Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: Jam 4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. Jam 4:15 For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. Jam 4:16 But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil. Jam 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. The horror of idle talk turns language or words, our best gift and most powerful tool, into a cruel weapon. Idle talk mangles truth and exchanges wisdom for foolishness (James 3). Gossip is the opposite of love (1 Cor. 13:6; Gal. 5:14,15). Instead of helpfulness it brings hurt. Instead of peace it brings anger and strife (Prov. 16:28; 2 Cor. 12:20). Where there should be trust it brings betrayal (Prov. 20:19). Why is there idle talk among Christians? Paul preaching to the Ephesians, and James passionately describing the power of the tongue, both say gossip is giving the devil a foothold. It is like fire out of hell (Eph. 4:25-32; James 3:6). A major reason for gossip among Christians, then, is failure to understand how serious it is, and how it is used by the devil. Gal 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Gal 5:26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another. John 15:9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. I am glad that Jesus taught me to love others, share the Gospel, do away with my self-centered righteousness, I thank God that he provided me salvation through my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Without him I had nothing, with him I have everlasting life WWJD WWJS
